They replace markets and mainly get extra culture, plus another small bonus that I can't remember off the top of my head.

In the interest of helping your thread not look like you're mostly talking to yourself, how about some random requests for information.
1. How would you rate the naming scheme of your competitors here? Any favorites or real stinkers?
2. Any new thoughts about the map? Complaints, praise, general thoughts on playability and fairness? (I'm particularly interested in this since I've been silently working on a map for the upcoming new pitboss game and it's a daunting task.). Is there anything regarding the map here that you think could have made it better or more fair? And I don't mean scattering more corn and gems resources through your territory.
3. If you don't mind trying to see through the looking glass, how do you think this game will play out?
4. Should I have asked these questions in separate posts to drive up the lurker post ratio?
5. Five is a round number so I need a fifth question. Actually I could have stopped at three apparently, or maybe the the questions I asked in number two means I still need one more.... OK, how about this one. In all the games you've played at RB which one was the most fun, and why? I guess that ties in to number two above, maybe if the map of whatever game was your favorite was a contributing factor to the enjoyment.
That concludes this random, unsolicited lurker survey. Feel free to disregard, or to answer. Anyway, again thanks for reporting and have fun.
Hey guys, thanks for the many responses! I think Azza will start whipping very soon....
Regarding Jester, I think he fell of the face of the earth.... really, don't know... last time he was here, he was mentioning internet problems... haven't heard from him since....
Questions then:
1. Haven't really looked at them... maybe next turn...
2. The map is nice, so far. Lot's of jungle around my starting position and not a lot of food, making it a difficult opening. But I like it... enough room to expand to a nice amount of cities before we need a war.
3. War will soon start on my continent. I think the surviving civ will have a good chance of winning the game. Don't think it will be me, but I will give it a good try. If I'm Lucky, I can stay at the sideline (Com versus Pindooter and Azza versus Lewyn) and jump in when I see a good opportunity. I'll start building an army very soon (after forges).
4. Nah... this is just fine!
5. PB 2 was great fun, since it was early days and it was my first PB. This one is interesting as well! Played in a lot of PB's... the one with LP had his moments as well...

Maybe he was writing Clojure instead of a procedural language?
