Degree - something weak connected to the angle between between axis?
Helicopter - rotates around an axis
force - acts in the direction of an axis?
Line - often act as axis on graph
Fighter - Luftwaffe for the axis in the war?
Turkey - Were they on the side of the axis?
Pass - no idea
Telescope - axis involved in the lenses at all?
mouth - no idea
undertaker - no idea
grace - no idea
Hand - the right hand rule is based upon axis?
train - wheels rotate around an axis
iron - wheels rotate around an iron axis?
theater - no idea
spike - is an axis of symmetry?
czech - axis forces in the war?
kid - no idea

would go line - helicopter - telescope - fighter

not at all confident on that though

Hmm. Unfortunately, even with 4 valid words there are too many options:

Degree: as in the degree something turns on its axis?

Force: like the Axis Powers.

Amazon: some sort of equator / axis connection?

Line: you use them to plot the axis of something, I think?

Fighter: The Axis Powers had plenty.

Turkey: Was Germany's coalition in the First World War also called the Axis? If so, Turkey was a member.

Iron: Some sort of Germany / Axis Powers connection? Probably a stretch.

Czech: Were they a part of the Axis? Also likely a stretch.

The fact that he specifically said Axis instead of something more specifically science oriented makes me think there's a WW2 reference to be inferred.

Relating to Science:
DEGREE
LINE
TELESCOPE

Relating to WW2:
FIGHTER
TURKEY? WW1, so it's a stretch.

After reading my teammates comments:

Axis Powers were WW2, Central Powers were WW1. Was CZECH part of the Austria-Hungary empire? If so then it should be a top candidate.

I think I like LINE and DEGREE the most. FIGHTER next. CZECH if we think the connection to the Axis powers is a strong one. Then for a fourth one? Otherwise TURKEY.

I think there are some strong science and WW2 relations. I like LINE a lot, DEGREE is possible too. Maybe even FORCE or TELESCOPE? But then I think Novice would have used a different clue if he was looking only for science words. Though FORCE could be related to WW2 as well. I think CZECH was part of Axis. Was Turkey in WW2? Definitely not part of Axis? FIGHTER could be connected to WW2 as well.

I'd go LINE -> CZECH -> FIGHTER -> DEGREE or FORCE.
