We built them!
Switching in Rep/OR to start growing cities (I will hire scientists l8r, for now, the immediate benefit of the mids is the +3 happy). With calendar & markets, I should have size 14 cities soon enough
We settled The Horcrux:
I decided to settle on the horse to get the additional hammer on the city tile and to keep the crabs for another fishing village, in the north. (galley moved 2 NE to explore the area) This way, we can also share The Evidence's clams.
Demos (it's been a while).
Looking good. Power is crap but I am not that far. I will improve this fast (another HA next turn, I will prolly get a rax in Cauldron and a trireme somewhere too. And some more axes/spears/archers to garison my soon to be settled (hopefully
) jungle cities. I am curious to see if these increases (see below) are meant to get barb cities (like I am planning) or if there is more to it.
Note TBW built the Moai already west of his cap (I should show you that in another post)... Seems like nonsense to me but maybe I am too used to SP. His ships could prove to be annoying, like the rest of his units. I will need superior prod & tech to take on him. I will plan my own build soon.
I should post a pic of his empire, he is settling cities even closer than I am, with a lot of overlap (good early on, and good when he will start whipping troops to take on me
). Also roading like crazy using X patterns (will be usefull to him when he attacks me but it feels overdone), and cottaging everything in sight (non riverside grasslands... meh). Anyway, I am curious to see the result (maybe I will take a good beating
, should be a fun learning experience anyway)
SD's going crazy. I wonder if that's a build up. I hope not, or he will be worthless as tech partner.
Anyway, he seems to be greatly benefiting from OH's advices.

Elevation is building science since it shaves one turn to currency. I will get a market here afterward. (no need for culture and the gold multiplier will be better than the lib multiplier now we are rexing and increasing troops number)
I think Quadratic Strat will make a decent Moai city (+9h iirc). It will be an awesome production city with some workshops. But it's not a priority for now. I am prolly whipping my next settlers here and in Cauldron (after CL's one I mean)
