zakalwe Wrote:So it is not sufficient to just convert to confucianism state religion before completing the AP?We think so, but Ruff is going to run a test this morning to absolutely confirm it.
RB PBEM #1 - Mehmed (SPOILERS!)

t65 - No splash screens, and no completed builds this turn to greet us. Domestically, Workers work and unit shuffle. Settlers for both Orange Dot and Pigs/Rice/Copper are in place and will found their respective cities next turn.
Spot Ruff's Chariot at 0.2/4 health - will have to ping him about how it got so banged up. Here's an interesting question for you though: I can apparently trade resources with sooooo, but not with Ruff!? The only route I really haveto sooooo runs through Ruff, so I'm really not certain how that can be.
A note received from mh:
Quote:Well, I am late in replying to this issue, but then you solved it already in a way not leaving much room for a compromise. Quote:mh,Offering the Horses really doesn't hurt me, and is a bit of a good-will gesture. Tim's priority is to connect Bursa to my trade network, Pasture the Horses, then connect Bursa to mh's trade network to enable trade routes anyway; so this just adds the road on the Horses to that list.
Communication from Athlete:
Quote:Hey Dreylin, Quote:Athlete,It's a fine deal, though I was hoping that sooooo would go Construction so as not to go for Music as I now expect him to. Also some digging regarding his relations with mh; with any luck there are some divisions there which I can exploit later....
An e-mail, and a chat with Ruff this morning:
Ruff_Hi Wrote:Agreed dependent on AP religion swap test.I actually ran a test myself last night (using my Oracle testing save) and confirmed that if you start building in Hinduism and later swich to Confucianism before completion, the AP unites the Confucian faith. Quote:me: So how did your WB test go?
Rounding things out was a message from sooooo:
Quote:Hi Dreylin.Eeeeexcellent, another two civs duplicating research (and maybe I have a chance at Music). I decide to be honest with him, write the e-mail and then forget to send it! Quote:Hey sooooo,
t66 - Istanbul completes Archer, starts another; Ankara completes HA, starts Worker (3t).
WTF!? How has Twist completed her move already, and BTW, what is she doing there!? Well I guess I must have automated her at the end of last turn and she's drunk now. First thing I do is go to all my other Workers and cancel their orders just in case. It's pretty costly, as Twist's job is to connect up Orange Dot and Pasturise the Sheep. Speaking of Orange Dot ... or should I say Konya: Oh, and Samsun:
To clarify my earlier question, what I meant to ask was this:
Does it matter which religion(s) are present in the city where the AP is built? Or is the only relevant variable which state religion you're currently running? (And finally, which sounds like the issue you're going to test, what happens if you change state religion mid-way through the AP?) EDIT: Reading more closely it looks as if you already answered these questions, and the only relevant variable is the state religion at the time when the AP is completed. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Sorry zakalwe Wrote:EDIT: Reading more closely it looks as if you already answered these questions, and the only relevant variable is the state religion at the time when the AP is completed. (Correct me if I'm wrong).Yep, that's correct; State Religion at time. No problem! |
