WW33 - Walking Dead [GAME THREAD]

A question for catwalk, Matt and zak.

a) How do you view Qg and Goreripper?
Reply

I expect one of them to be scum, regardless of Azarius' alignment. I'm leaning more towards Goreripper than Q. Q has been absent today, which is bad, but I think he warned us about that earlier.

It's also possible that they are both town, if Azarius is scum.
If you know what I mean.

This isn't exactly the reaction I was hoping for. I'm just telling you up front that I view Rowain as more likely to be innocent than you. That's not to say that defending yourself will be futile, but you need to give me some alternatives.

You and Rowain have pretty much painted yourselves into opposing corners, and if you're both town, I don't think we can rebound if we mislynch someone else. So lynching you is starting to feel like the least risky play, from a purely pragmatic point of view.

I don't like this post from you zakalwe. You acknowledge that they may both be town, and you advocate a policy lynch just to "get it sorted out". We may well have cops in the setup, lynching someone else is very much an option for sorting out this conflict later. Azarius is doing a poor job defending himself, but I'm not getting any scum vibes from it. I think several people are willing to lynch him just for being aggravating in his defense, and I think that's a poor reason. Maybe because they're scum and don't care?

I'm interested in everyone's take on Hashoosh, and why he has completely flown under the radar so far.

Rowain, I don't have much of a tell on Qg and I'm puzzled about Goreripper. He seems to switch his antagonistic ways on and off on a whim. I don't find his style very pro-town, but that's no evidence of guilt. I promise (yet again) to delve into it more in a few hours, this is the first time all week I've had to myself.

I acknowledge that they may both be town. That doesn't make it a policy lynch. I think Rowain is town, and all Azarius has been doing is to insist that he isn't. So if their votes remain locked on each other, I will side with Rowain. Lynching someone else feels risky if a mislynch will just compel us to return to Azarius or Rowain tomorrow.

I was trying to lay this out for Azarius so that he could try to work with us, but he just keeps frothing at Rowain. And no, I'm not saying that's very scummy in itself, but it does limit our options.

I don't have any reason to believe that Hashoosh is innocent.
If you know what I mean.

@Catwalk

Whom do you see as innocent if what you assume Azarius and myself are villagers?

So far you and Jabbz have spoken directly against a Azarius lynch; zak and mattimeo rather indirectly , Qg and Goreripper are voting Azarius currently and Hashoosh gets scum redflags from the BW but still votes catwalk.

I liked Qgqqqqq yesterday, though a good part of that would be him agreeing with me about GoreRipper. Including bringing Gore to 3 votes (outright lead), a position still held when Qgqqqqq made his last post for the day and went to sleep. So less likely to be a 'safe' vote on a fellow scum.
Today, though, not so much. Disregarded all of his previous reasoning to show up just after the deadline and vote Azarius with no stated reasoning - and no previous reasoning on the subject I could find. Made a couple of votes inside the first few hours, then has not been seen since.
So, probably a scum lean, given there's what, (likely) a 50% chance of hitting one anyway?

...actually, yeah, 50% chance of hitting a scum if I hit at random. I'm assuming we don't have two vigs who somehow [i]both[/b] decided that taking a shot N1 was a good idea.
Though I suppose SK is closer to a vig currently. Going to want him gone eventually, but it's so much better if he goes down to the scum shot, or even a vig, than us spending a lynch on a non-wolf at this stage.

Meta-tell of the massive lull today (and subsequent complete lack of vote changes, even after talk picked up) indicates Azarius and Rowain both lean town.
That gives a 2/6 chance of hitting town if we pick *other* than them.
So the tells I have on Gore are plenty sufficient for me to sit on him all damn day, unless someone comes up with a real convincing argument for someone else. Though I will note that a 'real convincing argument' could probably consist of "yeah, we've actually managed to get 3 people willing to vote <insert non-Azarius/Rowain>, for <rather small scum-tell>" at this point...

Well, there's been quite a bit of discussion by now about how there's been no discussion. smile

It's also quite common in these scum-heavy scenarios that each townie latches onto a different scum player.

I would like to vote with both Rowain and Mattimeo, if possible.
If you know what I mean.

I have a town read on you, and I'm leaning town on Mattimeo. That could have a lot to do with the two of us agreeing though, so I don't know. I also still feel Azarius is likely town. zakalwe is leaning scum for me lately, I think he's feeling too sad about the Azarius train possibly rolling off the tracks. Is noone interested in joining me on Hashoosh? He seems more and more like a lurker wolf to me, other lurkers would likely have drawn at least a bit of suspicion by now.

...we couldn't have done this earlier? 00:30 for me, and I really should be getting to sleep at some not-retarded time :/

Catwalk: how do you compare Hashoosh to Jabbz? I've a mostly unsubstantiated feeling that one of them is town, but not sure which. That'd be my hesitance to voting him, with you.
Also, you're saying he's lurker, but not Q? Hashoosh has more than twice Q's posts today. Admittedly, more than twice two still isn't saying much...

I can easily see Jabbz as scum defended by town Azarius, but don't have much other than gut feeling to base it on. Azarius invited Jabbz here, right? I think Qg has contributed more so far, and he's also been dragged into discussions and suspicions more. Hashoosh stands out as flying below the radar, I don't think Qg does.
