Okay, so last time I didn't even remember how many words we needed to guess. Hopefully my basic math isn't off this time (it probably is).
This time... we're looking for two words that are Meaty, which overlap with three words related to Butchering, which overlaps with (maybe) two words dealing with Barracks.
I'm of two minds here;
One is that Nail was a Barracks word (somehow), and following that Horse knocks out Barracks and also fits Butchering, which leaves us with two Butchering / Meaty words- Ham, Pie, or Octopus. Of those, Ham sounds super obvious, and while I'm still deeply concerned it's blue, I'm thinking now that JR is trying to get us to guess it, and also probably pulling his hair out. I think Pie is a better fit than Octopus for the final word.
Other train of thought is that Nail was simply luck and JR was saving it for later. If we need two Barracks words, then Horse is still a given, and the other is likely Change. In this scenario, Horse is also Meaty, and the final word is again one of Ham, Pie, or Octopus... I'm leaning Pie over Ham here.
Actually, it just occurs to me, why not just do "Meat" if you want to clue Ham + Pie? Or Pork. And, of what remains on the board, what else could possibly be the presumably still-missing Veal word if not Ham? But then again, if Ham really is red, I'll be shamed for the rest of my life, so, eh....
Goodness. Man as much as I like Change, and as much as I share Bob's Ham fear, and as much as I agree other clues could lead us to Ham, it really seems like Butchering and then Meaty is trying to get us to guess it. Plus Commodore seems really strong on it assuming he's serious
So, sorry guys, but given this round is sort of a bonus anyway...
I've been off this game, but what if Horse is still a Meaty word, and then Change wraps things up? That'd at least explain the mystery of the final Barracks word (I don't see how Nail, Ham, or likely Meaty suspect Pie fit, at all).
Excellent. So we're looking for a word that fits Butchery and Barracks (unless that's Nail) but not Meaty and we have left:
Octopus - not a fan
Hole - can't see a link
Pie - definitely no, this is Meaty
Shop - I quite like this one
Brush - more likely blue
Thief - nothing obvious
Canada - I guess there are some vague links, but I think it might be blue
Change - not a great fan, personally. Difficult word to clue though, so maybe.
