Anyway, snap back to reality..
All those looking for another pitboss to play.. Say so. Once we get a # willing to play, we can decide/find out what everyone would be down for.

The type of game I would play is so narrow that it's hard for me to comment without feeling like I'm holding a game hostage. Pretty much just small maps with very little room for expansion, and preferably an era that's non-ancient. Something really unconventional.
It doesn't really look like there's enough interest for a 10 person version of one of these teamed games regardless, even though one of those might interest me.

I'd be interested in a smaller-side map CtH game with some kind of accelerated start mechanism like a Great Prophet and Great Scientist to settle, an extra settler, and a worker.

Agreed with the smaller-side map CtH game; unsure about the accelerated start.

If you play a later-era start with CtH, please do test them in a single player game. I haven't tested those extensively so far.

I would definitely be more option to an ancient start if you started with a settler/worker/scientist trio like that. I've just grown to despise how the first month of every game is basically pressing enter and doing the bog standard opening.

Oh I also wanted to mention this. Please try to decide on which mod you will use first. I have some bugfixes related to BUG that I will be able to provide to you.

Side note: I completely missed that the 2v2v2v2v2 suggestion was about 5 players controlling 2 civs each. I thought we were actually talking normal team game, so my 5v5 suggestion probably came off trollish. I was being serious, but I actually meant 10 players. Apologies for the confusion.
Anyway, this thread is drifting a bit because there's no real consensus. I have no sense on how many players we have interested here because people want different things. However, looking at the current poll results, I do see a few trends.
* 4 players in Amicalola, GeneralKilCavalary, Lazteuq, and myself expressed interest in a Later Era game, while Commodore voted for an Advanced start, which is kind of a half step to a Classical start on its own. That's 5 players interested in a game that's not traditional Ancient, at least.
* 4 players voted for CTH, and that seems to be the preferred choice. I didn't really vote because I'd be fine with any of CTH, RtR, or even Vanilla, but that does seem to be the consensus.
* This wasn't in the poll, but there also seems to be some consensus to a very small map game. In addition to some of the players previously mentioned, Mjmd concurred with this and the previous point about CTH, though he expressed some reservations about advancing the start in some way.
I think we're narrowing in on a game here that at least 5-6 people would sign up for. Where we go from here depends on if Superdeath has some sort of map/game concept that meets these 3 rough parameters, or whether he's looking to follow a more detailed recipe.

I'd offer up a classic inland sea teamer with two teams of 3-4 players each, using CTH.
