Great, that's right.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out. (October 8th, 2022, 09:21)Commodore Wrote:(October 8th, 2022, 05:42)Tarkeel Wrote: Thinking of something like this for general shape. (ignore resources and details) I plan to work on the map tomorrow, but need to know if you want a shattered mirror (ala PB60) or natural-looking map (like PB61 and PB63). I think I know how I can turn the natural-ish map above into something more mirrored but with shattering of resources. Might also want to consider some speed-start bonus, such as free archer. I'm thinking slightly lush starts with bananaforest and oasis, and 2-3 food resources. E: With shattered-mirror everyone would know the full map, and which start is theirs, but not who their neighbors are.
I'd prefer natural looking, but the start juicing is great. Archer for defense is what we did before too.

Based SOLELY on that picture/map.. Bottom left/top left looks the most defensible. Can place a city on the hill to the NW or SW and not have to worry about that side due to the mountain, meanwhile every other position has to "actually" worry about it.
Im Perfectly fine not playing in an AW small tight map. Favors micro imo over macro.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow.
