And it didn't!

Thoth does still have the option for 5 cities although perilous; although sounds like he is in full war mental mode. Mig is the geographical winner as it is extremely unlikely Commodore goes south with no creative and going settler first.

This has been a fascinating game with very different openings so far. I do think a couple of players missed how good a workboat first opening is when you have bananaforest to work and forested plainshill to grow onto though.

Unit conveyer started. An axe finished this turn. A spear is next over another axe. Overflow from spear will go into a bowman, then the turn after another chop will come in and we will complete another bowman. Then I will move the workers to the gold tile, without protecting them (don't see how Thoth can capture them from the fog). This will look like we want to improve the gold - but instead we can road the hill and take the axe from Big Red Dragons along for the attack (think leaving the city defenceless is fine). So I think we can invade on T49 with 3 axes, 2 bowmen, and a spear. If we want to wait a few extra turns for the capital to regrow to size 4, we can add a double-whipped axe into another axe to the force

Actually, a loaded galley W of See-Scape would be able to capture the workers, but I'm pretty sure that everyone knows there aren't any galleys in play yet.

I don't see a problem with granting Mig's reload, if anyone can affect it soon.

That attack looks pretty good to me. Rome is going to be crippled.

I wonder if anyone else will figure out they should move their starting archer after t50.

Has anyone shown us a power graph in a while? Thoth could have plenty of units nearby in the fog. Depending.

Commodore and Thoth must have thought about their starting archer, even if they did not mention it.

You can see the power ratios on the scoreboard. and they have 1.3 times the power of Thorill.

T50
Once again we are at the T50 mark. So let's dive into the report. As always all the data can be found here: PB68 Tracking

Before we start some notable observations:
  • We saw some interesting openings so far.
  • No wonders have been build so far.

Since this PB is running CtH 3.0, we got some new data points. By now I've explained all data points here: data points explanation

General state of the game
Score
  1. Miguelito = 751
  2. Yuris = 666
  3. Thoth = 579
  4. Commodore = 544
City count
  1. Yuris = 4
  2. Miguelito = 3
  3. Commodore = 3
  4. Thoth = 1
Population
  1. Miguelito = 11
  2. Yuris = 6
  3. Commodore = 6
  4. Thoth = 4
Current turn Gold at 100%
  1. Miguelito (AGG) = 29
  2. Yuris = 20
  3. Commodore (AGG) = 20
  4. Thoth (AGG) = 11
Current turn total maintenance
  1. Thoth (AGG) = 0
  2. Commodore (AGG) = 6
  3. Miguelito (AGG) = 6
  4. Yuris = 9
Current turn maintenance-gold delta
  1. Miguelito (AGG) = 23
  2. Commodore (AGG) = 14
  3. Yuris = 11
  4. Thoth (AGG) = 11
Accumulated actual science
  1. Thoth (AGG) = 647
  2. Miguelito (AGG) = 607
  3. Commodore (AGG) = 556
  4. Yuris = 542
But what exactly did the players do with all those beakers. Well fear not here it is:

Toth hit Iron Working this turn. Will this save him?

Food

Accumulated food towards growth + foodkept = total food
  1. Miguelito = 384 + 0 = 384
  2. Yuris = 362 + 6 = 368
  3. Thoth = 321 + 37 = 358
  4. Commodore = 348 + 7 = 355

Production
Accumulated total production
You will find the unmodified production in parenthesis if it differs. I only show relevant traits here.
  1. Commodore (AGG, CHA) = 685 (623)
  2. Yuris = 622 (622)
  3. Thoth (AGG) = 614 (606)
  4. Miguelito (AGG, IND) = 468 (447)
Very interesting to see that Miguelito is so low in hammers compared to the others

Total whip production
  1. Commodore (AGG, CHA) = 330
  2. Yuris = 330
  3. Thoth (AGG) = 300
  4. Miguelito (AGG) = 210
Total chop production
  1. Yuris = 120
  2. Miguelito (AGG) = 40
  3. Commodore (AGG, CHA) = 20
  4. Thoth (AGG) = 20
And here we have the answer for Miguelito's lower hammer numbers: Fewer whips.

With the above data in mind we can say for sure that the traits produced the following amounts of extra hammers:
AGG (Commodore) = 23
AGG (Miguelito) = 15
AGG (Toth) = 8
CHA (Commodore) = 39
IND The Oracle (Miguelito) = 6

Commodore is investing in Totem Poles and Barracks as expected.

Financial Bonus

This will be rather short. Miguelito so far would have made 19 extra gold and Toth 12 extra gold the rest 0

Protective Bonus

Everybody is fairly equal in the current numbers except for Toth of course with 1 city.
  1. Miguelito (AGG) = 42
  2. Commodore (AGG) = 24
  3. Thoth (AGG) = 20
  4. Yuris = 7
This being Always war we can expect PRO to be stronger overall, but we also know nobody took it.

Misc

I'm tracking a lot more but there is not enough information there to justify an own paragraph. Therefore a little summary here:
  • No great persons so far to no ones surprise.
I'm also tracking the labor civics and therefore can determine, when everybody switched to slavery. These are the times they did.
  1. Thoth = T14
  2. Yuris = T20
  3. Commodore = T21
  4. Miguelito = T24

Comparing traits

The main goal of all this tracking of course is to compare the economic traits related around commerce income or maintenance reduction.

As you can see PRO is fairly safe in 1st position followed by FIN. Without big empires ORG isn't shining so brightly and for AGG there are not enough units yet.

Stay tuned for the T100 report.

If only Miguelito and Amicalola knew that Thoth and Krill were in so much trouble with Yuri and naufragar on the other side of their empire city-state. The No Score option is great for creating dramatic irony in games like this. popcorn.

I do think that Miguelito and Amicalola could learn that Thoth and Krill lost a city by analyzing the Rival Land Area turn by turn.

Oh, if only the scouts had been alive...

I'm witholding judgment till I see what their promised 3 praets can do, but this is the downside of being Rome in a game such as this: Everyone knows you must be stopped early.
