I'll get around to pics later today when I get home, I kept having to play on friends and family laptops over thanksgiving break. "Oh uh, can I just quickly install this uh, 20 year old video game on your laptop, I even brought my CD. What do you mean you don't have a CD player??" Is a conversation I had multiple times.

Speaking of which, I may need an extension, this turn...

CD player... oh yeah... we bought a music cd and then realised that my stereo won't spit out the previous one, something broken in there
An old laptop has a cd/dvd drive but doesn't work also (probably lenses too old/dirty?) and our three other laptops in the household don't have a cd drive.
that's not pretty :/

The troops are marching on, something like 5 WE, 2 cats, 10 horchers, a couple of axexmen. I'm at a 1.5 power ratio (but as we know, once you subtract pop, barracks, tech, that differential becomes much higher in terms of actual units). I hope to sweep through metal rapidly, before going after my other two neighbors.

Hanging gardens is in progress, will be followed by moai in the island city. Tech is slow rn, but with capture gold, plan is for IW -> aesthetics -> hereditary rule.

For holiday-portable installation, if you have a pre-Steam CD, perhaps you could try putting the entire installation directory on a USB flash drive and launching it from there. I vaguely remember doing this back in university.
