Epic Eight - AMERICA

Another report - excellent. Sorry you're having internet troubles, but I don't think the lateness matters too much. It's a pot luck, after all - you're just bringing dessert.

@ Sulla - thanks for taking the time to read, and for the comments! I was pretty lucky this start was so well suited to the wonderhog variant. I think a lot of the difference in settling patterns had to do with the founding of the capital. Each of we three reporting Roosevelts placed the capital in a different location.

Tks for support Sulla.

Before starting this Epic i used to play on Prince and still had lots of problems on that difficult, but i wanted to try to win the Epic so i did a lot of reading, mostly older Epics to learn some stuff, i also checked those articles at civ fanatics, in the end i was victorious. But truth be told, America got a very nice start and that was a nice contribution for this win, other civs didn't have mutch land to expand and were in the middle of 2 civs.

My report won't load. It is in word (sorry). Does anyone know why? frown

Well, there is one easy solution. I usually type my reports in Word, then cut and paste directly into a new post. (Although, if there are pictures pasted into the word document, they won't appear.)

It will take me a while to get it up. In short summary, Space Race 1980.

Hi Galileo,

Surf over to http://www.imageshack.us. From there, you can "Browse" to a picture on your own computer's hard drive. Then, you click "host it!" and it will upload your image. It will resize it for you if you check the box. This is generally a good idea since full-size screenshots will usually make your html page wrap too much and make your report hard to read.

Then click on and copy the wide box next to "Hotlink for forums". Copy that text into the forum post and your picture will appear in your post.

Before you submit, it will look like this:

[U R L=http://imageshack.us][I M G]http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/846/civ4screenshotsomething.jpg[/img][/URL ]

except that I added spaces in the first URL and IMG tags so it wouldn't get interpreted by the forum post. Do a Preview Post to check it.

Good luck, looking forward to reading about another American victory!

That's really impressive for a first writeup, Galileo. Nice work with the screenshots. Seems like you got sneak-attacked quite a bit, but managed to deal with the perpetrators effectively. Good victory.

What was up with the city names and build bars in your screenshots? Is that how they look when you play the game too?
