RUNOFF POLL FOR RESTRICTIONS ON LEADER/CIV PICKING

K so we had 4 that wanted a restriction of some kind. Here's a list of restrictions that I think of that we can vote on. If there's more to add from others let me know:

A) No FIN/PHI leaders
B) If taking a FIN/PHI leader, you must combine it with a PRO/CHM/IMP trait
C) Everybody must have atleast 1 trait of PRO/CHM/IMP
D) No Leaders or Civs from RBPB2 (or another appropriate RB game)*
E) Some other restriction?

I'd vote B of those.

Also! I'll be gone the next 24 hours until Friday afternoon.

Feel free to make any decisions without me. I'm not married to any rules/restrictions.

I'm against B since we'll be playing No Tech Trading, so most of us will want to go Financial (my guess). With B we only have 3 possible leaders for that, right?

I saw we use D and we all play other leaders/civs then we used to play in earlier RB games (if that is what the rule means).

If not, I need to think about E a bit.

#2 has won but may I suggest an amendment to add: No bail-out gifting of cities during war? Taken from Seven's suggestion, just altered in the rare case maybe you had a deal to deliver a settler/city to an ally, get declared upon but still need to found/gift the city...

Agreed.

This puts it at a tie between #1 and #2. What if we took Seven's suggestion again and allowed the gifting but you can not build the HE w/o earning the 10XP yourself?

& I'm voting for option D) in the restriction poll. Though I'm pretty much OK with any decision on that. As for the snake pick, we should just randomize the order.

I'd prefer A, can live with B (if you don't want one of the bad traits don't take a FIN/PHI leader) or C, really don't like D and I am open to some other restriction if someone can come up with it!

Gameplay order looks like it should be:

Jowy

Since we're going to randomize who goes first, and going sooner than later in a pbem tends to have an advantage (races and stuff), why don't we use the reverse order of that? (again I think Seven suggested this).

Example:

If The Reverend Doctor was to go first then the snake pick order would look like this:

Nakor
Jowy
SevenSpirits
Athlete
The Reverend Doctor (and back up).

Of course we can randomize both who goes first in game and the order of the snake pick (since the turn order in game isn't randomized but structured via time zone).

I just quickly read through PBEM 7 to get an idea and they went with no FIN/PHI leaders. They also brought up the speed of the game. Me I'd really prefer to play on Normal. If anybody feels strongly about a particular speed voice it now otherwise would it be ok to PM Sunrise and tell him to put it on normal? Or should we just let him choose? I'll be ok either way I guess but I'm really comfortable on normal.

Normal or quick speed would be ok for me.

If we want restrictions with leaders then I vote for A.

Order to play/pick can I get some feedback there aka:

Does anybody see an issue with play order?

Shall we pick in reverse play order, or ranomize the pick order?
