[SPOILERS] Werewolf 3 Lurker Thread

Too bad. I was hoping to see the seer survive 3 nights or so and have the power demonstrated even in a no pm game. Suddenly revealing that one person is a wolf while confirming the innocence of 2 others can easily blow the game wide open.

I'm not sure I'm ready to change my vote from the village to the wolves yet, or even if you can switch votes for that matter smile

If Irgy is not careful, the village is going to lynch him right-quick.

Irgy Wrote:Yeah, I reckon this was a mistake too. In WW2 we (yeah I really mean we this time ) targeted Cyneheard first because he made some sort of "good luck to the seer" post early in the night which we thought might have been a similar sort of "look at me, I'm not the seer" ploy. Although it's different in this game because there's known to be two "seer/fool"s, and there's something to be said for trying to advise the other one. Again though Bob, don't take any of this criticism to heart, you were really just unlucky.

A nervous and paranoid villager reads that line, what does he see? lol

This too:

Quote:Ok, losing the seer really sucks. Let's just hope the wolves screw up. Which is already looking a bit desperate, given that as best we can tell we've done everything right so far.

That "we've" is one heck of a slip. Irgy madly backpedaled and rationalized in his next post, but it's really really hard to see how he'd even come remotely close to saying that as a villager.

Day 2 so far has made running this game completely worth it.

An odd move. The village never stands to gain by lynching the mayor. If he's a wolf, he'll pass it on to another wolf.

If wolf mayors always passed their titles off to other wolves, I think it would be pretty easy for the village to wipe out the entire pack tongue

Hmm, i actually read this comment originally from a villager point of view. I don't think that's necessarily a mistake or slip, more a result of typing in a more colloquial manner. He has typed it like he would say it and didn't think through the potential repurcussions of every word. If i was in the game, i'd actually think him more likely to be a villager as a result of it. A wolf would pay more attention to their postings.

One thing I'm finding a bit odd is the amount of people who seem to be voting with the main reason being that 'their vote will count'.

To me it suggests 'wolf' quite clearly as its basically an 'out' for anyone questioning their voting record later, but for any villagers who are doing it it just mystifies me.

Maybe I'm missing something, what do you guys think?

As it is, given Lewwyn's well known 'antipathy' towards MJW as stated in the thread, he may be able to get away with it as it is so early. If he uses that as an excuse then he could survive - if he uses the well-worn excuse of 'I don't like late swings' then he may not.

Should be interesting to see how the wolves decide to act tonight. If novice is a villager, it would probably be worth eating him as that is who the Seer is likely to scry, thus the Seer gets no useful info, though you have to factor in the risk of a baner protection I would imagine.

I don't really trust myself well to comment on the specifics without leaking wolf-names alright.

In general, as a villager I would only really use this argument to separate my top choices from each other - basically, I suspect A,B,C for {reasons} but there is only a bandwagon on B right now, so I'll vote B.
