Hey Kyan, I tried, but can't beat your sandbox. Tried going Mining- BW first, but you come out almost the same.

Very fertile and happy map! Thinking about the sandbox, I would get a third (and maybe fourth) worker before the third settler.

Indeed! I'm thinking of 2 pop whipping another worker and overflowing into a fourth immediately after.

This map really is insane! You got all the happy and food you want.
Gem city going to be second and gold third or are you going for the floodplains as a third city? You'll get pottery soon after the second settler, so going for the floodplains is an option.

2-pop whipping worker 3 to get worker 4 seems like the best plan. Lot's of tiles to improve.

I dunno if you read this from our chat yesterday, but I think that the Floodplains city (Cyan) should be moved to the desert hill WSW.

It grabs the Oasis, another 2 grasslands (1 riverside which can be shared with capital), has a grassland hill for production instead of a desert hill plus 3 more forest tiles.

Aside from that we are pretty much ok

Hmm, considering the immense 3 tiles (all improved) that our capital has, maybe we should be looking to whip 5 -> 3 instead?

Hmm, i agree(d) with you until i saw the placement of copper... I'm now inclined to go back to the original positioning: your thoughts?

First civ to two cities i wonder? I'm not skilled enough at C&D to have the foggiest. We prioritised it fairly heavily though so i'm hopeful. You may notice i've decided that the naming theme should be DWARVEN. I'm aware of Warcraft, Dragon Age and Forgotten Realms basic lore so can get a fair few names from there. However, if anyone else has any other suggestions as i will run out, please feel free. Maybe i can resort to the Luchuirp or that other FfH dwarf civ cities?

I think Dwarves from the Warhammer World most closely resemble to what I feel dwarves should be like:

- Karaz-a-Karak
- Karak Varn
- Zhufbar
- Karak Kadrin
- Karak Ungor
- etc

In terms of the floodplain city positioning dilemma, we have a few options really.

I still like my desert hill city & I if that warrior discovers another resource then I think that city should be untouched.

We could possibly move the other city 1E of its current position to facilitate both of them which will gain it a few more grasslands compared to yucky coast. It would still get the clams too & can use the copper when Mithral Hall isn't using it.

--------------------

If you want to keep the other city where it is, we could likewise move the desert hill city 1E and settle it on the desert tile so it becomes useful. If we irrigate the floodplain it can use (and/or find a food resource in the fog) then it could have enough food to be a decent production city with 2 desert hills & a grass hill.

Hopefully the scouting warrior reveals something nice!
