How fast am I expected to pick? Just woke up here and off to school shortly, posted a few questions in my lurker thread that will shape my picks. I will be able to pick in 10 hours for sure, I can also check in from school and decide in a couple hours if it's important. Just let me know, I don't want to mess up an important decision right off the bat and I know everybody is itching to go (me too). I'm on GMT+1, it's 9:56 here now. I can generally play between 16 and 23 at GMT+1, but will often have time earlier than that too.

Would anyone be interested in having public diplomacy threads? With spoiler tags, of course. We'd need 10 of them total for 5 players, ie. there'd be one for diplo between me and Cull and so on. Would be convenient for both players and lurkers. There's a little risk of misclicking, of course. I don't think any players would cheat and go read the diplomacy of other players.

Hmm? What do you mean. Like an individual thread for your diplomacy with Cull. One for your diplo with Pegasus. One with ad hoc? That'd be about 20 threads no? That sounds like something I would not lurk. Wouldn't it just be easier for you to do email diplo and post msgs in your spoiler thread for the lurkers? I mean you're going to want to post the diplo in your own thread so you can discuss it anyway...

Yes, one for each pairing. With 5 players it'd be 10 threads. I figured it'd be a time saver for both players and lurkers, and give an easy overview of all diplo over the course of a game.

Catwalk, its best if you post the diploin yourthread, that way the timeline is matched to your ingame moves. Otherwise you would have to try and match at what point somebody was talking about settling the ivory city in a diplo thread with what what was happening on the map at the time in another thread. would be annoying to lurk
