Washington of Inca? Retep knows he's playing Tides of War right?
I could bring myself to play Washington - just - but Inca is totally unappealing to me as it is now. One or maybe two slightly earlier Granaries, that's it. How much do you really want to delay Pottery in a normal game?

Well, we're delaying it to T40... he could potentially have 2 granaries chopped in by then. Maybe if he has an insane amount of food, he could use Cha's huge happy cap to go on a whipping spree very early... we'll see how it works out, I guess.

Well, I guess it's good to test EXP Inca to see how it measures up in the mod anyway.

Cathy the sexpot for sultree. Not a bad choice I guess.
One more leader to go. We're guaranteed De Gaulle or Cyrus at this point.

So which one do we want? I'm basically at a coin flip at this point, although leaning at De Gaulle because part of me feels that passing up being the only industrious civ in a mod with nerfed marble and stone twice in a row for Cyrus is basically criminal at this point.

I think De Gaulle is the one we want. IND wasn't tried in PB20, let's give it a go here. It's got an indirect boost from resources like marble and stone only giving +50% too. Plus the map description (200+ tiles per player) sounds like it might be somewhat suited to it.
Shall I post our choice?

Done.
Not quite as fast off the mark as Cyrus, but I think more interesting long term. We should be able to snag a few wonders, even just by virtue of the metagame (i.e. people being hesitant to compete knowing an IND civ is in the game). Looking forward to it!

I didn't even realize we double-picked the same guy until several hours later...
And yeah, we should be able to pick up all kinds of goodies. Gavagai's Gandhi seems like an obvious target for a math-bulbed Pyramids, and Zara is quite good for the Great Lighthouse with easy-popped 2nd ring forests, but other than that I think we have a free reign on the early and mid game wonders, all other things being equal. Inca, with myst/mining, is an Oracle threat I suppose...

In the same minute too, not a bad effort.

Yeah, Gandhi in particular has a lot to gain from the Pyramids. However, I think the presence of IND will probably tilt the field and give us the advantage, especially in the early game. Not that we'll be building all those wonders, but the simple presence of IND will give any player thinking of building a wonder cause for pause. After all, the maximum bonus available on any wonder (+50% from the appropriate resource) is the same as the benefit we get for free. Of course there's stuff like Forges and Organized Religion, but we can get that too.
