My last hope for this game was to persuade Furungy to step in after he gets bacfk from his vacation but Furungy refused to join. I guess, at this point we should accept that no sub will be ever found and call it a game - so that we at least can read spoiler threads.
My suggestion is to end the game with "unresolved" status. I wouldn't accept any kind of "draw" as from my perspective I'm winning but I doubt that others would concede to me. 
Another option for ending the game is to ask a jury of compentent lurkers who followed the game closely (Commodore and TBS came to mind) to decide the winner based on who is more likely to launch the spaceship first. (That would include Gawdzak, of course.)
Or convert to AI with the understanding that the AI is not to be abused, and see who wins among the remaining players....

I stated long ago that I may accept anyone spoiled up to my last war with Joey and can't only agree to anyone who read my thread after that. Still, in two months no veteran, including "highly spoiled" ones, volunteered. I want the game to have a proper finish too but it doesn't appear to be an option.
Regarding chances to win - neither of us has full information to make the judgement. I'm pretty confident in my ability to beat Gawdzak to space. I see how my position may be underestimated by other players and, on the other hand, I may be oblivious to some crucial stuff myself. That's why I suggested that a jury of lurkers would make the call. |
