Turn 39:
At suboptimal lands, my scout was smacked by warrior and I decided to call for day. I want avoid war weariness by having my units killed. My scout is going return to my lands while scouting tundra.
So total profit from pillaging is not much, just 50 ![Icon_Gold Icon_Gold](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/Civ6Icons/Icon_Gold.png) and 25 ![Icon_Science Icon_Science](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/Civ6Icons/Icon_Science.png) . More importantly Suboptimal isn't pushover for TheArchduke's Macedonian unique units anymore.
But I surely made an enemy for remainder of this PBEM, it can bite me back if I am in war with Emperor K for example.
In my lands I chopped warrior and overflowed in encampment, in 2 turns complete now.
Speaking of encampment, Emperor K completed a encampment and therefore is also gunning for Great General alongside Great Prophet. I might toss down another encampment in Sinbad soon.
However I plan to produce warrior after slinger in Sinbad, also swap Archery back instead Iron Working, one turn left for Archery.

Turn 40 and 41:
Completed slinger in Sinbad and start warrior there. Completed encampment in Aladdin earning inspiration for State Workforce which I shall research after Early Empire.
Also start warrior in Aladdin, I shall overflow cogs next turn in something and then finish warrior when it is one turn left.
Also completed Archery and I shall wait with Iron Working, 1 turn plus eureka to complete for Iron Working. I want able to build some more warriors, also due Immortals unable to take cities, so back up warriors in case. Start researching Horseback Riding.
My warriors are currently dealing with barb camp in west, one of my slingers found barb warrior directly south of Sinbad, likely another barb camp over there.
Completed warriors from Sinbad and Aladdin shall deal with it. Remaining units make use of 2 extra movement points to uncover so many parts of map as possible.

Turn 42 and 43:
At turn 42 my scouting slinger found very interesting area west of Hattusa, a rich terrain added with natural wonder (eureka for Astrology for me).
But it isn't going be my next city, too far to defend it proper, maybe as 5th or 6th city.
Meanwhile in my lands I upgraded 2 slingers into Archers in anticipation of some barb trouble south of Sinbad.
Next turn both cities finish warriors and start producing settlers in both cities. Also policy swap next turn from Urban Planning to Colonization to speed up settler production.
Internationally: Emperor K signed DoF with TheArchduke. Also Suboptimal grabbed pantheon: Oral Tradition which gives some plantations extra culture.
So I am likely last one to grab Pantheon and I yet have produce a faith, heh. I already played my turn, so next turn I shall start research Astrology (3 turns) and then toss down Holy Site.
And I did think for while and decided to send Suboptimal white peace. If he accepts, I can re-use 2 extra movement upon surprise war, but Suboptimal can get 100% production again.
So it is double edged sword situation here and I must make sure that next time that I declare Suboptimal war, it is aimed for his elimination.
Also I did read patch notes once again, it seems that it is fixed that Immortal can capture cities (behave as melee unit instead ranged unit), in my test games before patch they couldn't capture cities.
If I have known that earlier, I might go for a different, more aggressive approach from start. Oh well damage is done and I shall to make with what I got. My game is bit mess here, unfocused and not really strategy from start.
Just watching what situation of others are and what others do and respond accordingly.

Turn 44 and 45:
Finished Early Empire and swapped Urban Planning for Colonization. Both cities start settler and Sinbad shall grow next turn.
I am searching and dealing barb camp here. Also by completing 2 warriors at turn 44, I got inspiration for mercenaries (I have 1 slinger, 2 archers and 5 warriors now).
Internationally: TheArchduke and Suboptimal are still at war, moreover Suboptimal advanced to classical age. Likely with Horseback Riding given his two horse resources improved.

Turn 46-48:
Finished Astrology, researched Iron Working over 50% and now researching Horseback Riding.
Purchased and tossed down holy site, I plan to harvest wheat between holy site and city and then put Pairidaeza there to get adjacent bonus.
With my 2 soon to be completed settlers, I plan to settle on those two spots, firstly spot NW of Aladdin:
Tile NE of iron resource, this city gives me eureka for sailing, celestial navigation and iron working. It is a decent spot, with marsh rice tile and some plain hills in east and 3 adjacent seafood spot for harbor.
And in East bit farther away but a good spot with a lot resources:
Again planned spot one NE of iron resource. This spot might give bit production problem, but I shall manage with sheep and iron resources. I has yet to grab Pantheon, with this much pasture improvements in future I might pick up God of Open Sky provided that TheArchduke didn't pick it up.
International news: TheArchduke is also desiring Great General, but Emperor K got advantage over us, started with encampment earlier and also he might soon run Strategos policy card with wildcard spot as Poland.

Turn 49-50:
Opened save to see a city state got eliminated, I suspect by TheArehduke. Both Suboptimal and Emperor K got 3rd cities, but both cities are new at 1 population without districts yet.
And if I am not mistaken through score, TheArchduke also founded 3rd city aside captured city state. Emperor K third city is put down in my direction.
It is making me willing to settle my 4th city one tile NE of closest chocolate tile. This way settler map perfectly overlaps with Poznan preventing tile stealing by encampment culture bomb.
But it wouldn't prevent such scenario if Emperor K decided to settle his next city at river valley SW of Poznan, also it is naught for me if Emperor K gets Military engineering, that is still in far future for now.
Also other note of Emperor K: he is running Strategos policy card now with wild card spot. That is risky, because he isn't running Agoge to quickly produce units. Also my strength is now 145 against Emperor K's 69.
So settle 3rd city (turn 53), improve iron working to get it completed and invade Emperor K with couple immortals and warriors. Together with possible encampment project Emperor K can get GG in roughly 15 turns. Running encampment project means no units either, so I don't know what Emperor K is doing now, but I am not letting this little opportunity go away. This is going make or break my game here likely.
And this is also one of reasons that I am starting to regret that I didn't find out about Immortal fix by latest patch earlier, otherwise I would likely perform this rush sooner. Now it might little too late.

Turn 51:
Previous turn I also noticed scout of Emperor K nearby Aladdin, when played my turn 50 already and I went to sleep, I realized too late that that scout is going be trouble.
And when I opened save, indeed I gave Emperor K a pillage opportunity, I am kicking myself for not noticing danger soon and next turn I am likely lose trade route.
So I declared war on Emperor K to prevent him declaring war on me and me not gaining 2 extra movement points, screwing me over even more.
But as you know now, I don't get movement points at same turn as declaration of war, so I didn't manage to kill Emperor K's scout. But he shall pay for this if he pillage trade route (-1 culture and -2 gold)!
Well, next turn new trader then I fear....
That aside, I completed Horseback Riding and State Workforce, policy swap to Conscription for little more money and Ilkum for builders.

Turn 52:
Opening my save with fear that my trade route got pillaged, but it didn't happen! Instead pillaging Emperor K decided to attack his scout against my scout and my scout barely emerged victorious.
Maybe my zone of control did screw up with pillaging option or it didn't occur at Emperor K that he could pillage or other reason. I shall read his report after end of PBEM to find out.
This mean that I still keep culture and gold, which is a bonus for me right now.
And I thought that I already would settle 3rd city this turn with extra movement, but that bloody barb scout is blocking the path...next turn then...
And I am sending all of my forces towards Emperor K now, but between us are rainforest and rivers, so it might take 10 turns with extra movement to reach his city.
I plan to capture this new founded city, it is currently building Granary (Emperor K should build units right now, even without Agoge since his military converted wildcard is currently sporting Strategos for Great General).
And that encampment then? without walls it is nothing to worry about.

And the peanut gallery got rewarded with another declaration of war:
Huh, why??? well...
Turn 53-57:
My little army moved slowly due rainforest to Rose. And then turn 57 I moved to north and made contact with Archduke!
Then I thought it over and decided to declare him war for two reasons:
Firstly, effect of 2 extra movement points would wear off when I reached Rose due a lot time lost by moving through rainforest. A new declaration of war hopefully extends movement bonus by 10 turns from now.
Secondly, I was thinking about TheArchduke's DoW on Suboptimal. They has been in war ever since TheArcduke declared war on Suboptimal after my declaration of war at same turn. It gave me impression that unlike Emperor K and Suboptimal, TheArchduke wasn't willing to give another player any advantage, by declaring on Suboptimal he minimized amount of the time that Suboptimal get production bonus. In that view if I didn't declare on TheArchduke this turn, he most likely would declare on me to deny me 2 extra movement bonus and remain in war for remainder of game. Therefore by luck that I was first to contact TheArchduke before he met me, I made full use of this opportunity to make max use of movement bonus.
I did settle 3rd city, Ali Baba and improved Iron tile, finishing Iron Working. But I forgot to research sailing, so fish tiles has to wait.
City management is a bit mess now, but one thing is sure: Aladdin shall start holy site after builder. Builder in Aladdin shall harvest wheat between city and holy site and toss down Pairidaeza.
