^ Looks good, other than for the fact that in the late game Dave can't play between 10:00 - 12:00, which means I possibly can't play after him during the same day, and that means that we're looking at best one turn per 2 days.

I'd rather go with Dave's 2nd window (which he also favoured).

Some questions we need to decide on still:

Mod: EitB v12.1. (with nerfs to Calabim and change to Warrens, I don't remember other dramatic changes to v12) or just play with v.12 ?
Difficulty: Monarch/Emperor?
Barbs: Normal prolly?

Emperor should be fine if we play with no Lairs. The early game is significantly less dangerous when you don't have goblins and Lizardmen (and possibly worse with bad lair results) running around within the first ten turns so slowing down the tech curve isn't as crushing.

Monarch would be fine too of course, I don't really have a preference either way.

Long term, my second window (evening) is better, although once in a while I do have a busy evening when I can't play. Once the time to play the turn gets longer than ~30 minutes, I can't play in the morning.

EitB 12.1.
Emperor.
Normal barbs.
Living world (2x events, more likely to even out good and bad events).
For Hall of Mirrors, I vote that it can be used freely but the cloned units must be deleted after two turns, which is how it's supposed to work.

I'm ok with Emperor, so we can lock that one in, as well as normal barbs.
IDK about Living World, seems a little too swingy. I'd honestly prefer to play without events, but if people think they're integral I can be convinced otherwise.
I'm also ok with DaveV's suggestion regarding the HoM, but I still think that it shouldn't be allowed to be built where a barb animal is trapped in your borders, since that's not what the building is really designed to do.

Finally, turn schedule, I think we're ok with putting DaveV in his second slot, so it would be something like this:

Auro (17:00 - 21:00)
superjm (18:00 - 04:00)
DaveV (23:00 - 02:00)
Mr. Cairo (01:00 - 04:00)

hmmm.... it's not ideal. All four slots squeezed into half a day. Did I miss something? Can anyone see a better way?

Events can't be turned off completely here, Cairo. I think Dave means that Living World would balance things more; there are some really good events (like almost free GE and GP for just about 50g) and some bad ones. I'm fine either way, but there will be events, that's for sure (as swingy as it is).

Ah, that makes sense now that I think about it, lots of scripted stuff. OK, I'm fine with Living World

I think we're ready then with settings? Now only to consider our civs/leaders. Maybe we should ask for a move soon?

Cairo, add to first post: torusland map and EitB v12.1. so that TBS can get all the required info for rolling the map for us (I think all the rest is already there).

Done, if you need anything else TBS please let us know.

Now as for civs/leaders, I had been assuming that we stick with restricted leaders? Since the leaders are so often geared towards their respective civs, and it's more flavourful. With that in mind I'd be ok with just randomly distributing a predetermined number of civ options to each player that we get to choose from. But I'm pretty flexible with this option if anyone else has a method they prefer.

Yeah, restricted leaders. All the civs have at least 2 leaders IIRC, that's what I meant.

Traditionally all the players pick 5 civs and leaders and put them in their preferred order from 1 to 5. Then mapmaker checks them and if there are same civs he random.orgs it. I'd prefer this picking method.

Almost all (Grigori, Kurios, Illians).

I agree with the standard picking method Auro described. We can presumably PM our picks to TBS.
