If there is still a spot, im up for it.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

The game is now out!
Which means I can finally also state that I've been in the closed beta for the game since mid-November. Hence why I keep harping on why it's going to be good. Go buy it (January 31st, 2019, 16:36)Alhazard Wrote: Will an osx version launch at release? So.... I've been playing on OSX for the last 2 months and it works great. But the Steam store page only says Windows at this specific moment. I checked with CF staff, and according to them it should be shadow released on OSX (it's not officially supported, but it works for anyone who does try it). So it's worth a shot to buy it and see if it does work? Official support is coming soon (I think there's a few edge case bugs they're wrapping up or something) so if you'll want to buy it anyway, it probably wouldn't hurt to try. And then report back on how it does. (February 1st, 2019, 07:41)BRickAstley Wrote: Which means I can finally also state that I've been in the closed beta for the game since mid-November. The Steam page is not really detailed when it comes to the single player campaign, aside from mentioning there is one. Could you give an estimate how long it would take to play through the whole campaign? Are there different campaigns for each faction? There is one official campaign, and I am not too sure how long it is as I was much more focused on MP play so I didn't play all the way through it. But, I did say one *official* campaign. The customization tools that come with the game allow users to create their own single player campaigns, and I know a few people with early access are in the process of doing so. So total amount of content isn't limited.
I was also in the beta, so that's where my enthusiasm is from having played it a good bit myself. I probably played less than Brick, but the MP stuff especially is really well done. Steam will actually notify you when you have a turn up (see attached screenshot) which is neat.
Anyway, for game 1, we have: 1) scooter 2) Brick 3) Cheater Hater 4) superdeath I can start it up later today. Do you guys have any map type preferences? By that I mean - would you rather land units only for starters, or do you want something with sea and/or air included? I'm going to attempt to keep a basic spoiler thread with minor thoughts, but it won't be nearly as exhaustive as I've done in the past. I'll create it in this forum I guess to start, and if it catches on, we can create a subforum for this maybe. |
