ill try to get a picture the next time i log in. ive seen gavagais cap border, but its been so long i dont think the map even shows it in the fog anymore. ive also seen commodores chariot scouting my borders for a bit. no idea where i encountered pindicator

the empire is well. commodore opened borders with me and adopted my religion, so my holy city is currently making 33 gold per turn from the wonder alone

Question for lurkers: Gav looks set to run me over. I understand my mandate is to play out the game the best I can without use of spoiler information. I have many workers and no way to evacuate them. In this situation, if it were my civ from the start, I would delete those workers. Can I delete them or are there some things I shouldn't do as a sub?

Here's an overview.


In the middle, Gavagai has a solid stack of horse archers. To the north he has a mix of elephants and swords. This pic is from before I messed with build queues. I've dry-whipped a bunch of spears. The capital has given its garrison to the shrine city (Prague). As you can see, Beardbeard was inches away from Protective Longbows which would have stopped this attack cold.  

I didn't check the full event log, but in the combat log, I discovered the probable cause of tilt:


Lost a galley and trireme without killing anything of Gav's. Less than 6% chance.

Pindicator offered iron & gems for our silver, so we at least don't have to worry about losing metals.


Edit: In the tech thread, I said I thought the AI didn't make any moves. I think that's incorrect because I had to cancel some automation. I issued two "Cancel All Orders" commands. Let's hope they went through. The fact that I needed more than one is a little worrying.
