Sorry folks, I'm way too drunk to come up with something now - I'll come back to you in about 12 hours.

I... don't recognise that word.

I am also boarding a flight shortly, and will not be online for the next ~10 hours. Team, feel free to guess without me.

Uh oh, I know I've seen that word before but I'm fuzzy on its meaning. I want to say Pole and Cliff, but I might be completely off base.

Its a type of saw. my first guesses are Hole and Trunk. ..... am i doing this right? crazyeye
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. I think the word has something to do with making a HOLE (either to skull or ground). I guess CLIFF would fit with the mining theme...

Oh, is that the old "treatment" they used to use in mental hospitals? I was definitely wrong, then (and respect to the guy who beats me in vocabulary in a language that's not his native one). I don't see a second word that's related to a mental institute, but I'm not convinced by CLIFF or TRUNK either. Maybe OIL extraction?

It's a very specific clue, intended to pick out two very specific words (and avoid a number of traps that a more casual reference would leave us vulnerable to, I don't doubt).

On that basis, I think we can reject HOLE/OIL. The obvious clue would be Well 2. HOLE/CLIFF can probably be clued more simply, too, by say Canyon 2.

If a Trepan is in fact a saw that was used to operate on people, then HOLE/TRUNK fits best. If it was specifically used to operate on the skull, then we should consider HOLE/TEMPLE.
