Quite impressive fleet already, makes sense I guess. I am not sure why Oledavy needed Jerusalem as well, but alas.
Thanks for the information.
@ Singaboy
As Oledavy seems hellbent on conquering Jerusalem, Spain and probably me as well, I think it is in both our interests to sign a NAP, would you be interested?
Else you are probably destined to be my punching ball whilst a japanese fleet supports you just enough to not go down horribly.
@ Jesterfool
Can I offer you any help, the royal treasury could spare you some monies for upgrades.

@TheArchduke,
He has been building ships and I fear he is going to continue. Luckily, I am not sure he can finance the very well. Probably why he decided he needed to steal my gold. My numbers maybe off a little because it was a quick count while I played before work today but he does have roughly equal numbers Frigates to Caravels.
I want to propose a continuing alliance with you until we are the last two in the game. I am a little sick of politicking and the shifting winds of power. I would rather get a permanent partner and push to the end. We have always had good relations and really haven't backstabbed each other. My alliance with Japan lasts until T159 but I do have an army and a GG. So, if Germany chooses to side with Japan, I can help with the inland cities. Let me know your thoughts.

@Singaboy
Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of room for you in that alliance.
I feel like you're in the same situation you were towards the end of PBEM2 with me actually. If you'll have units that can beat subs and MG's in a 2v1 when that NAP runs out, I encourage you to sign it and do so. If not, I at least hope you try to extract some cities from Archduke for the NAP, like I was willing to offer to you in PBEM2. Additionally, I would insist on a DoF.
Alternatively, you can fight with me now while your navy and army are still relevant to secure your homeland for the long-term. Zitronheim and Kiel will probably be lost initially, but should we prove victorious, you will be able to reclaim those cities and more. Additionally, It will bring the game to a swifter conclusion.
I know you probably have been wondering if I actually intend to follow through on my rhetoric to defend your homeland. There has been a spirited debate going on in my thread since you first asked for help, exploring options ranging from ignoring you completely, sending some of my ships to help and using the rest to take down Spain, to sending everything to aid in your defense. The debate was concluded this morning. Here is the relevant post.

This is a very good point.
Okay, I'm convinced.
I will add [redacted] more ships to the fleet, and we shall sail for Germany.
I'm all in on defending Germany.
My ded-lurkers can additionally confirm this if you need assurance this is not a false flag.
You can already see tangible signs of the decision in game by the movements of the Jerusalem fleet this turn. My choice was to move east to begin prepping to support you, or moving south and committing to taking out Spain as fast as possible. I chose the former.

I happily agree to that.
Do keep in mind that there is little time left to build up infrastructure and right now ships and troops are needed.
At the very least you should take your rightful claim to Jerusalem.

Do I understand the proposal correctly, you want me to sign a NAP so that you can take out oledavy and then turn your attention to me until only Archduke and Woden are left in the game. What is exactly in there for me? To live a little longer so that you can focus all energy on oledavy?

I can't answer for TheArchduke, but am open to suggestions. What are you proposing? If the 3 of us can come to an agreement, all the better. In all fairness, the NAP was suggested before my proposal, so there maybe some wiggle room for negotiations, if we can all agree on terms.

Any unit that I could upgrade to right now won't survive bombardment by multiple frigates (and then sword attack.) I would suggest you raze the Venetian Arsenal city before it is too late. I really would hate to see Oledavy win the game (although from what I can tell he has played a really strong game.)

@Jester,
you can now understand why Germany was destroyed so easily by the hands of a double Great Admiral boosted fleet? There is no counter against that in the game unless you have superior technology.

@TheArchduke,
I don't know if you tried sending me a deal but a notification popped up on the side and when I clicked on it, it disappeared. I reloaded and went through everybody to see who it was from and it showed you sent a deal but then again when I clicked on the "view deal" button in the diplo screen, it disappeared. Don't know if you sent one, changed your mind and canceled it, or just random bug. If you did send one, just resend next turn.
By the way, anybody else getting a bug where the text in the deal notification is a string of variables and not who sent the deal? It has been on all my deals since the patch. Seems to only impact deals.

If you are set on aggression, dow me Oledavy. I will neither declare war Singaboy nor you first. Defend myself or Woden is what I will do.
I see frigates creeping towards me.
