That makes a hell of a lot of sense.
I'm conflicted. On the one hand, you're my #1 target.
On the other, I'm trying to ignore the names of posters to let the content shine through, at least t first.
On the third hand, this seems an awful lot like arguing to lynch a claimed seer because "then we'll know if he was the seer".
On the fourth hand, the value of uberfish's move was seeing reactions. If we know what exactly his move was, we can better gauge those reactions.
I'm also concerned that he only gave the Europeans time to react. As a west coast American, the statement was old news before I ever read it. If he wanted to gain information as a villager, why not stay quiet for 24 hours afterward? He's ovbiously been around so he could have posted reactions to it.
Well shit, I guess I'll vote uberfish.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

*Finally, Twinkletoes. After his response to the pressure, I'd actually be comfortable rating my suspects TT>uber>Rowain. I get real life interfering - young family here. But it seems like the real life interference is being used as a convenient excuse to avoid having to provide detailed arguments. I'm comfortable with any of the three getting lynched, each for their own reasons. But TT has edged it out in my mind so...

Detailed arguments for what exactly?
People seem to be wanting me to answer some questions which (as far as I can see) they haven't even asked me yet?
I have provided a detailed explanation for my silence and for my vote, which are the two things I have been questioned on. What problems do you have with what I have done so far? Tell me so I can counter or explain them, rather than just say that they are there without giving me a chance to respond!
Yes, other people also have real life commitments, I understand that. But my work was all very last minute and is a few hours from home. The work I am doing has interrupted my access to RB before, it is very well evidenced by the Diplomacy game I was in, plus in the PBEM games I was playing which had saves delayed for upwards of 3 days because of zero internet access.
You can say I'm making excuses, that's your imperative to do so. But put very simply, you are completely wrong.
I apologize if this comes across as uber-confrontational, but I am annoyed by what I see as pretty vague 'suspicions' against me and I do not

You sound so pissed uberfish, that I am wondering what you had expected after your gambit? That people would not question your motives? That can't be it, you yourself said that it should not paint you as innocent. That people would not discuss how you would play as villager/wolf? I think it should have been obvious to you that it will happen (because in every game that question comes up).
I really try to come up with reasons not to vote for you, but you make it really hard as you don't even try to be helpful. Your gambit might or might not have been intended to help. But everything afterwards pretty much was not.

No post editing so finishing post after pressing enter and posting accidentally!
I do not like having my work commitments being said to just be an 'excuse'.
Perhaps I should have posted those details about my commitments in all the tech thread for the games I'm in first, then maybe it would have been understood. But I am doing my best with the limited time I have.
Also seen as I have a 5am start tomorrow, I should be in bed by now but I want to at least make some contribution - though suddenly the votes start swinging my way...

QFE
I'm running out of excuses for myself to not vote you uberfish. I do grasp after straws but I don't see any better target.

Thoughts and observations.

That's been the thought in the back of my mind throughout this whole ordeal, brought forth by the people saying we should lynch him regardless just because he may have lied. I just... don't like the idea of blanket policies for lynching someone. It's such an inflexible approach to a permanent solution.

See, that's another thing that gets me. Am I the only one who thought it was a SMART move not to waste an entire day? Granted, obviously he could have learned more if he waited longer, but we've seen this sort of thing before - the longer you wait, especially early on, the less time you have to react and build a defense. Uberfish is an experience player - surely he must have noticed this pattern, too.
I'm not going to say I think uberfish is innocent (although I'm not convinced of his guilt, either), but if the heaviest evidence against him is that he screwed up as a Villager, and thus should be removed... that just seems rather anti-Village to me.
Is anyone else getting the "I'm pissed off at being wrongly accused of guilt" vibe from uberfish, rather than the "I'm pissed off that my gambit didn't work" vibe? Maybe I'm just too emotional, and that's what's causing me to potentially see sincerity behind his latest post - even if the content of it is a worthless defense. I've seen the same tactic in the past with Selrahc, and it was always so hollow. I've seen it in the past with others (Rowain? Someone else?) and though I didn't heed it then, in hindsight it turned out to be genuine, as well. I have to wonder if we're not seeing the same thing here.
Of course, with my track record I could be trying to talk us out of a guaranteed lynch on a probable 'Wolf - not like uberfish hasn't tricked me in the past. :neenernee I don't know, but we'll find out one way or another pretty soon.

I don't think TT has seemed particularly suspicious, and I find it to be poor form to be aggressive about activity right out the gate. While this is going to turn into one of those quality of life posts that Gaspar thinks makes me wolf (and I suppose he's right, except I'm not a wolf), it's a flaw of forum WW that it's tempting to shoot at anyone who's less active than us hypernerds. Problem is that it's such a convenient cover for a wolf. Personally, I won't be accusing anyone of low activity unless it's consistent over at least 2 days and no real explanation has been given. One way of dealing with this problem is to make an effort to notify others of lowered activity ahead of time (don't recall if TT did so or not).
