Hahaha brilliant. Good job I didn't say anything then.

Got it. And T50 played.
I deviated from the micro plan on two points:
1. I renamed Frank to John, to mess with Darrell's head. He'll gain visibility on the worker next turn.
2. I put the 6 overflow hammers from the granary in Trading Post into an axeman, so we have the option of whipping that when we're back at size 2. Let's not needlessly tempt Shoot the Moon. (He has visibility on the city).
I also put research to 50% to still get Mathematics in two turns, and to mask our GNP a bit. We'll have another library and 100 gold in two turns, at that point we can go full tilt on currency. I suggest Metal Casting after currency.
State of the empire screenshots coming up soon.*

Right, so this turn we founded our sixth city, Cash Cow. The city increased our maintenance costs by 5gpt, but increased our science at 100% by 8bpt.
At 100% science our GNP is 118, I changed our science to 50% and that brought our GNP down to 104. Rival best is 80.
In addition to our six cities we also have six workers, named Arnold, Bruce, Clint, Daniel, Ed and John. Here are some overview shots of our empire:
South:
Central:
North:
Frontier:
As you can see we are not that far from circumnavigating.
I have to run.

And a run-through of our cities:
Capital, will produce some scientist points and then triple whip a settler with overflow into a second.
Investment, will whip a settler in 2 turns, then complete the library:
Seaside, soon to be renamed Pyramid Scheme (hopefully). Will put 12 food-hammers into a worker and double-whip it next turn, overflowing into Pyramids, which will complete on t53 aided by five chops.
Gold Rush, will complete the Library and work its three improved tiles plus scientists as it grows. Not sure what to build after the Library, military perhaps. Has 5 hammers into a Galley.
Trading Post, our future Moai site:
And finally Cash Cow, providing intercontinental domestic trade routes. Has a worker pasturing the cows.
I have to run.

I like how you're using those scientists to time your whips, pretty neat.
If you know what I mean.

Got it. And played T51.
Our galley is heading back to pick up another settler and worker. Unless we can work something out with Shoot the Moon it will probably head to this 4-tile fish/crabs island.
Chop the two forests into workboats and start whipping. The city is hard to defend but it will pay back the cost of the settler quickly anyway due to the valuable trade routes and high food.
Our scouting workboat found a naked Incan settler. It looks like our workboat will have to do a slight detour eastwards to get around Rego's borders.
City count is Darrel and us 6, Shoot the Moon 5, Rego 4 (but probably 5 later this turn).
I have to run.

Saw your chat with darrell - worthwhile posting I think. (As is the other one that you were mildly embarrassed about!)
On our GNP, I think it's worth emphasising (to anyone we chat to) that a lot of it is culture, from being Creative, from the GLH and from the libraries we have built. It's also boosted by the research bonus of our cheap libraries of course, which is exactly what we should be leveraging. We would expect to have a higher GNP in the short term. It's where we need to take our advantage versus the financial civs. Once they start cottaging, they'll come roaring back.

Incidentally, we should tell Shoot that we're settling that 4 tile site.
