WAR has the strongest association, but I'm not confident after that. Prisoners might have been betrayed by a MOLE, could be sentenced to DEATH, and have allotted time in the exercise YARD.

WAR seems obvious for prisoners. I could see YARD, it's a little more of a prison word than a prisoner word - but the open space in a prison seems to always be called a YARD.

After that I'm not sure I see many connections. Maybe DEATH, because executions generally only happen to prisoners? Maybe MOLE because a) prisoners like to dig out and b) if you catch a mole in your organization, you send them to prison? Maybe STOOL in the sense of stool pigeon, a prisoner who informs on other prisoners?

I'd consider NEW YORK to be basically a prison, but people move there voluntarily so that's probably just a personal problem.

I'm also considering adding ORANGE after seeing prisoners in orange clothing on the TV tonight (presumably to mark them in an attempted escape?). Is that uniform a widely known detail?
