I did not withdraw from the battlefield. Instead I sank a frigate and wounded another. Archduke now has 2 frigates (1 wounded), a frigate fleet and a lvl 2 ironclad left. You have a single frigate there which might be able to sink the wounded frigate with a miracle shot (doubtful). It would be good to attack there and stay so as to support my frigates in numbers, otherwise we get sunk all together. You need to send in reinforcements and together with my navy, we can make sure, Archduke can't advance on German cities.
The miracle did not happen. Still, I admire your gumption, depending on how the battlefield looks next turn though, I would recommend withdrawing. Try and leave me a way out please
I'm going to recommend we stick to defending the strait and your western cities. My subs are on the way and can lock down the area.
What would it take to get you to U-boats? If there is anything I can do to help, let me know. Long-term, I think they're the only way to keep you competitive on the sea.
I will be hooking up whales in a few turns and sending them to you. I also may be able to get you other luxuries depending on what I am able to pick up in Norway.
Finally, my subs can potentially do a drive-by on the former city of Midgard. If you would like, get a melee land or naval unit over there and we can try to get it into your hands.

Almost forgot your regular invasion forecast!
3 Knights, 2 Crossbows, 1 Musket, 1 GG, and 1 Frigate holding northeast of Kiel.
1 Frigate a few tiles northeast about to reinforce (along with an incoming British frigate a little farther back heading for the North Sea).
The wounded frigate is withdrawing towards Brazil. There is a lone musket in the middle of your eastern sea sailing for Kiel.
Also, @Archduke, Mohenjo Daro is officially the best CS ally - they killed one of my traders this turn. You should like, give them a pay raise or something.

nothing personal...this open diplomacy is toxic and I think we all know now that this is not really helpful. It's a game only, so we should all drink a beer together and have fun.
Looking forward to the land war. It's your first offensive land war against a human, I assume. Good luck!
@ Singaboy
Sincerely, I do not see where exactly this channel is toxic.
Maybe I am way more used to the blunder, bluffing and bluster happening. I take everything with a grain of salt and see it as propaganda.
I enjoy playing with this group a lot more then most of the games in MP I have played so far.
I find AI diplomacy way more toxic for my soul at least.

@TheArchduke,
Update on oledavy's ship movement. He has 4 subs moving east from Spain towards the narrows and 4 subs by his mainland moving west towards my island. Not sure if the 4 by his mainland are headed to set up to attack me (I'm expecting him to raze Salgueiro) when he can or headed towards your capital. They are a ways off and only move 3 turns, so I would guess if he is headed towards your capital, you probably have 5 or 6 turns to react. The good thing right now is that he can't use Press Gangs to build subs, the production card for modern naval units is a ways off, so I don't expect him to have new ones for a while.
As for this thread, I have to agree with TheArchduke. If you take it for what it is, just a bunch of propaganda and rhetoric and nothing personal, I find most of it quite enjoyable.

@TheArchduke,
Just a heads up, I am going to be putting 3 envoys in MD in a couple of turns, need the extra culture. If you have an extra envoy, you might want to put it in them so you don't lose your Suzerainship.

heads up! I just sank another frigate, this time from Archduke at Kiel. The city is not lost yet. Woden surely will try and land there. I need your help to defend the western coast soonest. I suspect Archduke is bringing is his big guns there.

@oledavy,
By the way, all the losses we all suffered means WW is sky high for all of us. If we keep on pounding Archduke's fleet and units, he might face revolts in his own land. I am not sure about his production capabilities but he can't possibly be cranking out a lot of naval units with this effect.
If you are swift with your subs, please sink more of his fleet to make him bleed. He has a lot of citizens and hence, amenities will be a big problem for him.

Strangely enough, the liberation of Toronto has put me at war with it without any option for peace. This surely must be bugged. My war with the CS is more than 10 turns ago, I am not at war with the liberator...so what is going on here?

I wonder if that is related to the bug where the AI will become your friend and declare war on you the same turn but i thought they fixed that this last patch. Might have found a new bug or maybe the clock resets on your war with them and you can get peace in 10 turns. IDK, never heard that before.
Edit: If it is related to the known bug, I don't think it will ever go away.

Salz am Meer and Zuckerstadt should be easy enough to take for me. Kiel should be our target for you. I will get more ships there asap to soften up defenses.
It will especially give space for my ground forces which are enroute and landing.
Just to make thing easier for us longterm. Any other german cities on his continent are yours.
I will take the lonely islands to the southwest.
