Pitboss 11 Organizing Thread

I'm majority-happy now that I got a shiny new spoiler thread to post my memes in.

So what's the ETA on the launch date?

Is it official that we know nothing about the map script at all until seeing the start and getting in the game? Other than Monarch / Cylindrical / Large?

Yeah, that's my position and someone else agreed with it. I don't think we tried to build a majority for it or anything, though. I guess it's official unless someone builds a majority against it? But Monarch/Cylindrical/Large is locked in at this point, that's what the map team used to roll for our leader picks (unless they want to reroll the map and use the teams they generated the first time around, which seems like too much effort to me).

After the map rolling team finishes their work they'll pass the save to the pitboss host, who will be Sunrise089. When he has time to set up a new pitboss instance he will load the save the map team gives him. Then he'll register our game on civstats (www.civstats.com) so we can monitor the turn timer and/or obsess over it if required. Finally, he'll make a post in this forum (creating our tech thread in the process) with instructions on how to connect to the game and some general tips for pitboss game play. The first post will look a lot like this, but with the specifics for our game.

Oh man, that's a good point. Vassals off!

Agree with this, by the way. Nobody likes colonial maintenance costs and there's no AI to vassalize.

I'm assuming that our glorious mapmakers, being competent and wise in the ways of civ, will properly configure these types of things. This one is pretty standard. If not, blame the mapmaker, which is also standard.

I thought it was blame Krill whenever something goes wrong.

No, Krill blames the mapmaker too. He has perfected the art.
