Lol, I don't know if Commodore expected this level of indecision. But it's actually quite like the loot arguments I've seen in real D&D.

I bet the popcorn factor in the lurker thread is quite high. It's a brilliant item from the meta-perspective, as it gives collective instead of personal power.

@Serdoa Did you find time to finish your work about the players started here ?

Not yet, though I intend to do it before night ends. There are not many players left to "describe" but those have the most posts (not necessarily content) so I need a longer stretch of time to actually look through and write down what I like and dislike. Though I think I spoke openly my mind on all already, it is more putting together what makes me lean scum or town on them.

While I don't have a huge problem giving the scroll to SD, you do make some good points Serdoa. It seems I need to reread novice. The only part I disagree with is:

That seems to be the strongest use of the item. Have you collectively forgot these exist? Or are we seeing mostly scum among the "talkers", who didn't want to discuss this?

For the scroll to be useful like this, someone needs to a) have a tracking power (likely 1 shot), b) catch someone in the act, and c) get killed before sharing info with town, all of which needs to occur before we decide to use the scroll on Day 3 or maybe 4. This seems too unlikely to me. I was expecting a tracker/watcher power as an item drop tbh.

Alright, Serdoa.

If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

I'm swayed by the vet aspect of the argument, Serdoa. Superdeath is the type to be set up as a last mislynch, that's true.

The awful part is that I thought your read was awful. I'm willing to accept you just didn't pay attention to thrawn before and that your reread was obviously rushed and flawed.

The funny part is that it only took a few games for me to feel I have a good read on thrawn, but I still don't have a good read on what your normal is. Maybe because you had me convinced you were town in 46
