[Spoilers] Dtay's first PB: When you play a game of CIV, you win or you die

So you're saying I need to go attack Mack, take Krillingen, and rename it "The Musket" or something?
He'll never see it coming.

Well, that would be unexpected to say the least, but it's not what I'm suggesting. You'll come up with an appropriate reward for the dead hero.
How about a 21 gun salute? No? Arrgh.
Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
Big Update Time. I'm going to run through what's happened in vaguely chronological order. Broadscale, TBS has been harassing the coasts of his former core, I've realized I have a new improved economic situation, and Pind/Scooter declared war on TBS.
So I have All the North: ![]() But argh, TBS raiders: ![]() ![]() This is I think a turn ago, but my GNP is now reasonably competitive. Now that I have the shrine, free market, and TBS cities coming out of revolt the lowest I drop is 4 and I've been 2-3 fairly often. I suspect my maximum research rate is 4th or 5th, but I can sustain higher break even rates because of the shrine, so my "real research rate" is probably 3rd, maybe 4th. ![]() MFG and Food still suck though. Regrowing population in the whipped cities and TBS core should help that somewhat though. I now have enough espionage on OH to see all his territory. Next target is Ichabod, I want vision on all my neighbors: ![]() ![]() So now that I have free market and I believe hit the conqueror's plateau , iceballs are pure profit: ![]() This has given me a new project now that TBS is dead. BECOME LORD OF THE NORTH. So much ice to settle: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I might be racing commodore for these, given he's pretty close: ![]() And he's shown a willingness to settle the ice ![]() But look, some grass to settle as well, made usable through TRADE ROUTES ![]() Now about a turn ago, Mack wanted open borders. I said, ehh, I gain nothing from this, so how about toss me an extra fur for the passsage? Mack had a... negative reaction: ![]() I was pretty pissed about this. It seemed totally unnecessary on Mack's part. Throwing me a fur doesn't cost him anything, I can't beat him for the win, my only influence on his game is whether I choose to fuck with him, scooter, or no one. I'm pretty sure if I dedicated myself I could throw this game to whichever of Scooter or Mack I wanted, and this seemed like Mack antogonizing me for basically no reason. Disrepect I say. Mack then immediately agreed to peace, so that moderated my response. But nevertheless if I run out of amusing/interesting things to do, I have a plan in mind. A plan involving vassalage, East City, and the under-construction-West Point. Anyone got a guess? Newest development is scooter is attacking TBS, finally: ![]() ![]() While I'd like TBS's final island, I'll honestly settle for cultural control of the land he's stealing from me with Musket Shrine. I couldn't hold the island agianst Scooter's super viking ships in any case. Here's the culture I want gone: ![]()

Sorry for lack of updates but literally nothing interesting has happened. Just hitting enter and growing cities. And founded 2 new cities. Ok maybe that's slightly interesting? I'll update next turn, which will I think also involve The Black Sword's memorial post.

I would also like to reiterate a general apology to Pindicator and Fintourist. I routinely ignore your existence in my posts since your names are harder to type and/or abbreviate than your teammates.
This was random, but came to mind.
