Logged into the game, so that works. Any actions I should take?

Alright, everything worked fine after a computer restart. Strange.

I offered map trades in-game with WPC and the Spanish. I would expect at least one of them to go through, although I'm not sure how useful they will be. We'll see. I also queued up a university for the whip overflow in the capital, for production tracking sneakery. We will of course wait and see what CFC does before ending our turn. Hopefully they get greedy and don't whip their Taj build.

The last time I suggested this, everyone wanted to burn me at the stake for heresy, but we are actually in pretty decent shape for workers right now with 25 of them. Every city is working all improved tiles. I've been saving population in recent turns in preparation for a lot of 3-pop forge whips, and I would prefer that to whipping more workers at present.

How soon until we go a-conquering? We probably don't need more workers until then if we have enough to keep up with our current growth, and hopefully we can capture some.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Hope is good but it's unlikely. Humans will delete workers rather than let them be captured.

The joint invasion of Incan lands is planned to T150. We will have to see if we (and WPC) can make that target date.

Well, I meant mostly on the first turn. They might react to a build-up, but they also might not.

The aptmod email says "Pluton's Golden Age has begun!!!" But no mention of CFC? Maybe we're in the clear (for a 50/50 flip...). Hopefully CFC decides to wait another turn on the whip.

Is it possible the mod is bugged about who began a golden age?

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

CFC has not built the Taj Mahal or entered a Golden Age. But that's not news; we knew that they wouldn't be finishing it this turn. The key thing is whether they whip it on this particular turn (T133). I checked in-game, and their city has 554 production into Taj right now. They can whip it to completion this turn if they want, and we can't do anything to stop them. We're hoping that they get greedy and fail to do so. If they don't whip this turn, we'll have at least a coin flip chance.

Turn rolled pretty late here; I moved the scouting units, but the rest will probably have to wait until tomorrow.
