I was planning to play the class, and as anyone I can think of in fiction or gaming who would count as a ranger.

Yes, roles are going to be based on the class and going before alignment. So no metagaming possible based on role.

I'll have time to play until the 2nd of november (holiday time). So if we start soon I can play. If so, monk please. If not, I'll lurk with interest
Edit : If the game continues beyond 02/11 but with only a few players left it should be fine. I just can't read hundreds of posts a day after that date or I'll end up playing the same way I did in the last two games. I want to try and better set expectations for post volume.
In WW48, the number of Posts from the 1st post til the end of the game was 2,100 posts. There were 18 players. The number of posts while >12 players remained in the game was 1,360. The number of posts with <12 players remaining in the game was 740. Even go ahead and add an extra 200 posts for Lewwyn's sake since he never got to post after <12 players remained. That still doesn't even reach 1k posts in a game with only 6 fewer players. Post count really does rise exponentially. All of that to say: If you are worried about keeping up with post count, this game *should* be less than half the total count from my game that just ended. I'm giving feedback on Commodore's design behind the scenes, and this is shaping up to be a fun ride. 3 spots left, come and get 'em.
Those are fun. My blue-eyed wife and I (brown eyes) have 1 child with brown eyes and 2 with green hazel. (My maternal grandfather's eye color).

As a math teacher I couldn't pass an opportunity to think about probabilities. The answer is You know what, next time one of my students finishes his or her work early, instead of finding another exercise on the theme of that day's class I'll ask them your question. |
