As I doubt I can outbuild those guys, I am pretty confident things will happen down the road. I have 1-2 ideas, but this will wait until the map is explored.
Turn 4
Tilepicker trying to make up its mind between amber or deer. I would prefer the amber for the +1 culture of course. Playing around with possible city sites. Current strategic thinking. This is food poor start. Coupled with Korea´s Seowon which demand arboreal sacrifices, I think I will dig out poor Magnus for maximum choppage. See those pristine forests, I want them all gone and farms and mines in their place with seowons inbetween. It is gonna be beautiful. So. - Holmgard Warrior->1t builder->Settler->finish builder->Seowon->slinger - New City Seowon->slinger->slinger - Magnus 2nd ability could alleviate food concerns in our cities nicely. - With China not in play, the Temple of Artemis could be a steal, boosting our empire early on. 3 slingers/archers should be aplenty for barbs and a decent anti-rush force. - Shame about those mountains, I really could use less of them. - The next most important thing is the GP, which I build seldom. We will need it for either Ancestral Hall if we go full settler spam or to boost our governors. - With the Seowon being supercheap I should try to aim for as MANY as TIGHTLY packed cities as possible We will see if I can pull it off.
