Hey look! Another hut!

This one has a tech in it for sure. please

I'm assuming the random map generator produced this cute mountain line by the inner sea. We don't often get useless terrain on hand crafted maps, so this is neat. My warrior on the right hand sight of the pic is moving to scout that last bit of fog. There's a high probability of a lion, which eats a warrior on a hill about 1 in every 4 times...

I'm assuming it did not have a tech in it?

Oops! I went to sleep before reporting. The hut just had money, which isn't bad at all. I also moved up the warrior:

Well, we suspected that that lion was there. If we sit and wait for the lion, we've got about a 75% chance to kill it, which is so terrifyingly low.

You can also see Civ4 having a fit trying to figure out rivers and roads on the tile right above the pigs. lol

We interrupt the new Path of Exile league launch to bring you breaking Civ4 news:

We have encountered Ginger's scout. Analysis to come later. Maybe. In the meantime, back to Path of Exile. Eng101

And lots of other things that have kept me stupidly busy. But I should report. My scout encountered a bear and beat it at 24% odds! So now he's slowly healing up. I was too busy to sim, so I just picked Fishing as our next tech:

But it'll be a few turns until we get a workboat. You can see a lion in the top of the frame. That lion has stayed still for 11 turns. eek My warrior must have an intense stare.

In the tech thread, Superdeath is letting people know that he met someone. Based on uneven EP spending, I also know that Ginger knows someone. People have been commenting in Ginger's thread. Superdeath-Ginger blood feud incoming? I would like that.

There was something about animals being unable to step on resources unless some condition

Yup; I've read (and seen evidence for but not confirmed in depth) that the only time an animal will move onto a resource tile is when attacking a unit that's standing on it.  One thing I would test if I were in a testing mood would be whether a wolf or panther will cross a resource tile (either) to attack a unit two tiles away (or even just to move to a non-resource tile).

Either way, of course, all this applies only when the animal is pinned by a sufficiently intense, fearless (and/or terrified) stare.  Preferably on a hill overlooking wildly erratic trailblazing forest people who must connect those rivers!!!!!!!  (Nobody tell them that the rivers are already connected to each other intrinsically due to Civ's wild trade connection logic and that the whole purpose of their zigzag roadathan was to ease travel to and from Pig Hill:  It would break their poor, imaginary hearts.)

We've hauled some barges in our day...

The reality is even more embarrassing: that road was to speed up the forest chop before Bronze Working came in. In my defense, this start is very slow. In the game's defense, my plans have been atrocious! lol

Chop, chop, chop. If you're wondering what that worker on the Ziz-Zag Highway is doing next turn, me too.

Two in one pitboss! People are gonna start to think that a 17 year old game still has some mystery to it...  mischief
