I think if you have a free warrior in your plans to unfog the south then that is ideal. However, if you do not then I would turn the scout around because revealing those tiles could impact your decisions and immediate city locations - you might find something better to settle. I can't think of anything you would reveal up in Charriu's lands that could be as impactful to your decision making.

Also, Musica bordering 'Merica. Hehehe

SD is my southern neighbor. We did some map trading. I have map trades set up T25 with Charriu as at that point it won't matter as much that I'm giving him free southland info (which thanks SD).

Quote:i will have to send the south screenshot tomorrow/next turn. In the meantime, i see a semi-decent border along the desert line there.

Before I give my thoughts, Pin where do you see the border here?

SD also has riverside gold so I'll assume I do to in the fog west there. Even though I'll get that info with border pop I'll probably send scout that way just to get full info.

I think I agree with SD on the desert, but make sure you get the flood plains under your cities' control. The north looks a little more green, so I wouldn't mind giving up a little to SD in the south if it also means taking more from Charriu in the north.

Lately SD has not been the same as his earlier reputation. I think there very much is a possibility of invading him in the mid-game after he's checked out of this one a little and put his attention towards the next 2 or 3 games that he signs up for. But I wouldn't push him around, I would go at him with one swift stroke

If you take him at "desert line" as in actual deserts I would be fine with that as yes that would mean I get the floodplains. It doesn't look like he could grab the wheat but he could put something between clam and incense. I could promise not to put anything on the other side of the little river (ie not the plains hill on that side of the river).

I'll also mention that Cornflakes seems to be posting a lot in his thread. The one game SD one someone else did his early game micro for him. That is not a mistake as his early game micro usually puts him a little behind or at least not ahead. So a lot will depend on extent of Cornflakes help.

I probably won't post again until T25 when more map info is out and then can do some serious analysis. I think* that is the same turn as BW comes in as well, if its a turn later may delay posting until T26 (which depending how the turns roll I might anyways).

Something is very very wrong with one of the players and I'm willing to bets its not one of my neighbors. See population.

Double worker or a worker > settler opening? 7 food and 3 hammers means they are working a wet wheat tile. Work boat first wouldn't make sense to be working the wheat tile now - or even then they should have grown to 2 by now.

Could one of our Mining civs started BW and whipped?

I can think of two ways to find out .

one is to ask. It's a diplo game after all wink.

I thought about it, but as it doesn't actually matter in the short term so I checked my curiosity as I don't want either neighbor to think I'm worried about them running someone over (even if I am). Obviously if someone is slow it will be pretty obvious before it matters and will have to decide how to deal with it then. I'll also hopefully have met everyone. After my scout goes and checks those corners SDs map didn't reveal I'll probably head south to try to meet more people. (edit: may just check the one corner as I don't think* I care about the eastern corner in short term).

I got info I need from SD. I also see copper, but I'm not thrilled by either spot.......... I'll post a picture next turn of copper spots along with a plan. But for now: Pin thoughts on SDs deal here.

You can see his dots and then I've drawn in my own.

Site A is obviously where I could place a city to grab ALL the floodplains. You know A for AGRO. That being said, I'm tempted to take the deal. I can place the eastern city first and then settle B or C depending on how I'm feeling.

The other spot I forgot to mark would be ON the incense. Its still aggressive as it immediately steals a floodplain and its a little less safe as its not across a river from one angle, but as it would have vision at least until engineering could be a good. Again I would have to settle it first though, but it might still be acceptable enough to him. I would probalby word agreement something like "I'm fine with your spots shown. I'll not settle on your side of the floodplain river (IE that plains hill) nor on any of the floodplains. I'm still planning out my dotmap (true)." and then see what he says.

Here is his south. Doesn't look to be as clear cut where his southern border is.

Edit: how do I get capital to not show stats? Do I have to disable somewhere or is there a hotkey like ctrl I that I've been using to get rid of other detail.
