The whirlwind of life and the fact that I am (actually successfully!) playing this one pretty casually has really dried up my reporting, huh. Oops. This is me committing to future me committing to taking the time to start reporting once Assignment Season ends. The short version is that we have been completely irrelevant, thanks either to us bungling this start horrifically, or the start being borderline-unplayable compared to what others got (possibly both
 ). But by a combination of sheer dumb luck (neighbours) and running the world's most ridiculous farmer's gambit (we are last in power... the turn after building an axeman  ), I might have brought us into 'vaguely relevant' status again. We were third in food this turn after settling two* cities!  Um, don't look at the other stats plz. * One of those cities might get razed in the immediate future, depending on how spicy Tarkeel feels and combat rolls. Plemo razed a major city of his this turn though, so hopefully he has bigger fish to fry. We'll know one way or the other by the time I can report properly.
We live in a scary neighbourhood. Pindicator and I were each in the Top 3 for Food last turn. Tarkeel killed our neighbour Dreylin, and now seems to be dying in turn. Commodore's graphs are a work in progress, but his score has also been consistently high so I expect good things. If we don't end up as the food in this neighbourhood (and I'm starting to hope that we won't), it will be an absolute miracle.

I'll fight you for that title ... oh wait, I'm already dead!  It'll be great to see more of the old neighbourhood when you have a chance to report, but of course life comes first.

Well, barring some extremely lucky combat result, we're going to lose Comben to a barb axeman.
  Apparently I missed this guy last turn too, or this would have been solvable.
