The only way this city could fall was for Thrawn to have a random Guerilla2 archer in the fog to outflank my guarding warrior. And, of course, he had that.
Well, there goes this game.

I don't want to post it in tech thread because I don't want to be an asshole to Thrawn but the current discussion in tech thread reveals yet another reason why it is a bad practice to log into the game and then just walk away. On a related note, I was unable to engage in any diplo with him for a few turns in a row - just because he is online but at the same time absent, so there is no way to open his diplo screen. Can any lurker gently tell him that he really should start playing like a normal person? It is bad enough that even when he is active he takes about as much time to make his turn as it took me in the final stages of PB74, maybe even more.

But that was the reason I never had my hopes particularly high about this game, even after I had a comeback of a sort, the only possible path to victory hinged on the alliance with SD.
