Well, ok, that makes sense. I think the thing I was going for was to try and make the game a bit more difficult, we could go with a less-than-full party when we don't have all the players. For example, if we only had 5 people, none of which were monks, then we would take the 2 hero monks and be a team of 7. That was all I really meant there.
Quote:Go ahead and post, if you haven't already. It would be a blast if we could get a representative from each allied guild.
But... that means I'd have to stop procrastinating. Ah well, some things can't be helped.
You know, now that I think about it, it'd be kinda cool if someone could create a small banner for each variant we do, not something grotesque, but similar to the one Uca posted for the Deep meeting. You know, something to add a little extra color/flavor/whatever to the topic.

Ok, a couple things. First off, I posted on the ZoS forums about the variant and it's already gotten a few looks, so that's a plus. Also, I got bored and took one of the emblems KoP posted a while ago in order to make a semi-banner. It's nothing special, but it's something. The upload server still isn't working apparently, so I've attached it to the message. Somewhere.

Btw, maybe you guys should start off on the right foot. Designate or go with a rotation roster for after action reports. If you guys choose to use the RBGW site for a LoL journal, I will (also) html it like I do with the Nudist journal. Pick a name for the journal.

If the variant starts on time (I think it was 5:30 PST) or earlier I can play. My basketball games are usually between 7-9. If my game is at 7, I probably won't make it. If its at 8, I'll play for an 1.5 hours, if its at 9 I'll play 2.5 hours, that should be enough to do main quest lines and/or a mission.
I already have the 8 primaries from CH 1 & 2 and one PvP slot. I got 2 more slots coming from NF itself and the bonus from the preorder. I'm definitely making a Dervish and a Paragon and I can take either along for the variant.
So I can be:
Dervish or Paragon - I'm making both anyways
Monk - Just don't know how effective I'll be with the available skills
Ele - I wouldn't mind trying what Uca is doing and using a differnet element as my primary focus, it seems water magic with its AoE type dmg + hex will be effective against the new ways the monster AI acts.
Not sure if I want another ranger, war, necro, or mesmer. I'll have to take a look at the character creation thingy.
If you believe everything you read, better not read.

I'm not all that great with stuff like that, so I don't know how do-able that is (but it seems like it'd be a nice little way to personalize the banner).

Heh. Hadn't even thought of that until now.
Seijin Wrote:So I can be: Take your pick. With you on the team that'll be 7, meaning a dervish is going to be partly responsible for healing (unless, of course, Aravis or Jude decide to make a primary healer). Paragons do have some power in the way of healing, but I don't think it'll be enough to keep people alive. Although, with 2 Paragons around, that could really help things out.

"Living off the Land Reports" won't cut it? Heh, oh well. We can put it to a vote next week I suppose.
Here are a few I thought up off the top of my head:
Outcast Diaries
Reports from the Wilderness
Writings of the Land
I'm not particularly attached to any of them, so whatever people decide on works for me.

The picture is made up from 3 screenies of different places as is, so sure, if you grab a nice screen of the team.

BTW, in preparation for beginning the LoL journey, how far should we get with our characters? Just to Kamadan (first town where you can party up), right? Will we go with 2 teams, assuming everyone who had expressed interest shows up?

You can party up at the first mission, Chahbek Village. Wyrm was saying he was thinking of starting there.

Yeah, I would say start the team right at Chabhek (or however it's spelled). The missions for Elona are separated by a long series of quests, so we're going to be spending a lot of time in the explorables, which will make gaining sunspear ranks and items for armor easy. If people want to go ahead and get to Kamadan for the Halloween event, that's fine. The other big problem is that some of the quests and missions require a certain hero to be in your party so we might wind up being forced to make 3 groups early on.
