The event log crash issue was fixed about 3 years ago ... and which screens malfunction in the current release?

Use of BUG in the customasset install is designed for SG play - you can play the save with or without SP install of BUG with no problems. One warning re the report ... just don't post the auto log content as everyone will yell at you and blame your bad report on BUG. I post it in spoilers because it can contain some interesting stuff (tracking AI relations for one).
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I didn't mean it harshly, apologies for any offense. BUG is fine as long as it never makes the unmodded player suffer (which it does in the case of a competitive event.) I just remember LKendter complaining about the event log crash after it ruined one or more of his SGs.

For malfunctioning screens, there were problems with the Adventure 43 mod clashing with BUG. I still don't understand why that happened since Adv43 didn't touch the religion screen. But if you're confident that BUG is cross-compatible with the unmodded game for SGs, we'll go with that. smile

Yes and no. What he means is if it was a competitive event, an unmodded player would be at a disadvantage because BUG offers you so much info that in a way it DOES affect gameplay. For instance it tells you when whips are available, which would have an effect if you wouldn't have otherwise known the worker (for example) could now be whipped to completion.

Oh me too. That bug was a real pain in the @#@# to track down and fix. And then people didn't uniformly upgrade to the new version so it hung around for ages.

BUG doesn't impact on game play in as much as it only presents information that the unmodded player can get ... however, I accept that it does impact on a player's play because most mortals can't be bothered checking all the stuff the BUG checks every turn.
