The Collector's Ringmail looks like Soldier's outfit. Want to check and make sure for me? KoP KingOfPain Wrote:Hawkmoon, what is the name of the outfit? It's just called "Monk's Raiment," and it is from the collectors in Pre-Searing; the default looks more like a burlap sack, with the tunic-thingy only going over one shoulder.
That shot was taken Pre-Searing so I'm sure that's the collector's armor and that it's labeled Ringmail like the starting armor. I never bought Soldiers anyway. I am aware though that Soldier Armor looks like that as well but that may change in the future.

Last night I went and did Hell's Precipice with Xyngynky . . . Xyng . . . Xyn! And scored a couple of Magma's Shields. We stood around for a bit and joked about how KoP would want screenies.
That gets me thinking . . . Armaments for the Fashion Concious! :D I know in my case I stuck with the Water Wand and Frost Artifact for Ice Blade, because they had the look, whereas a water staff seems like just another privet root. On top of that there are a number of items in the game like the aforementioned Magma's Shields and also Shadow Bows etc. that are sought after for looks alone and are rare enough to prompt numerous questions to the tune of "WTF is that!!!???" when end-game characters come back to earlier stages for capping and infuse runs etc. Want some screenies? We could put one of these shields on little Remy and have her scoot around looking like an irate smurf with that huge black sword of hers. Quote: Want some screenies? Yes! Lots and lots more... I have been thinking of such a page lately... maybe I will finally have more inventory spaces when I get the format figured out. I am carrying much useless junk, such as a useless "shield of the wings", around because I know I want pix of them. I just need to figure out the format so I dont end up wirh pictures of all different sizes and shapes (and still try to keep the file size small). I will get right on it and hopefully make a decision in a couple of days. KoP
Just a few shot of the female mesmer's desert collector's Stylish outfit, dyed red. Personally, I like the look of the collector's outfit the most (of the mesmer bunch)... pity it offers no real advantages beyond that.
Gloves are Courtly/silver in the first screen... And now with the Stylish gloves... And the back...
After much bashing of evil villains for their precious belongings (mostly Wood & Dust ) I have finally completed the 8k Necromancer Scar Pattern for GG:
32 plat for the crafter 1750 Wood and Dust + 7 plat for the vellum. and 35 feathers... The 8k Scar set looks like it can't be dyed, but I'll that check later.
Being a bit of a slowbie in regards to the PvE storyline, I didn't hit the Granite Citadel till 2 days ago. It was a splurgefest once I got there though.
Full pyromancer I tried all sorts of dye combos till I just gave up and settled on this radioactive colour, for now. Trouble with black and black mixes, you don't really get to see the colour graduate through the outfit which is the strongest point of it. I might go emo and take black again, but for now Vanyel is confined to this puke colour till he earns back what he spent. Full hydromancer I got so tired trying mixes on the pyro set I just dyed this black to be done with it. Kinda like the obsidian shard look on it. Unfortunately my friend says Vanyel blends into the cliffsides of Mineral Springs now. Oh well, maybe that will make him less attractive to the monsters? I want the aeromancer and geomancer sets, but I bloody have no more storage space. I guess it's time to think about a second account eh?

Vanyel Wrote:http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~touji/gw290.bmpIt's almost a shame you got that one. I've had the full 15K Hydromancer set on Ice Blade for almost a week now and was just waiting to catch KoP online for another round of screenies. Between the glimmering blue accessories, the pale blue hair and the whole ice theme of the character, the default blue style works really well on him. And then there's the gleam in the darkest caves . . . mmm . . . the gleeeam . . . You should try rigging your Ele up with the 15K Aeromancer suit and start mixing dye on it. I've seen a few of these and the colour gradients on the lightning patterns look awesome!
A little confused. A shame in what sense, could you elaborate?
I cheat a little with Vanyel. His hair is black so sticking black dye on whatever he's wearing always works. It came out slightly black-violet on the normal pyromancer set though that's more a hazard of the base material, all dyes end up powdery and slightly paler somehow. Well I'd like to get the Aeromancer set and maybe pass it off as his Heraldic Whites (book reference, ShadowHM would know what I'm talking about heh) but I simply, simply have no space. My other two post-searing chars are stuffed to the brim with upgrades, runes, collector items (Anyone need 157 bleached carapaces? Let me know!) and if I want to play them, I have to shift their entire inventory over to Van. I'm wondering where I'm going to find space for my ranger's sets. Maybe I'll just pass and work on a fissure druid's set. I would seriously consider paying Anet for a larger storage space. Seriously. I want a wardrobe box, an armoury box, a rune book to store spare runes for friends/guildies, and a dye box.
