Who it's balanced for depends on the number of people and the number of wolves. It can help to only finally decide the number and range of power roles available after knowing the exact number of players, as the number of wolves has to take a discreet value and the power roles can fill in some of the in-between values for better balance. Of course how many wolves a power role is equivalent to is a subject of some debate itself anyway.

Well now that you've pointed it out...
I'm not sure about choosing our roles for RP. First off its optional, yes? Second, I think I'd rather be given a role to play rather than choose my own. Otherwise I might be inclined to choose the town's Window Shutter Maker whose business is booming in this dark time, but has paranoia issues himself. Or perhaps the bookish and elitist Librarian who disdains the townsfolk for their trepidation and fear. I think if I truly RPed the latter, people might lynch me just to get rid of me. Such are the dangers of being a part of the more knowledgeable upper class!

Hehehe, yeah I appreciate it. I think if there's too much RP, the game might get weird...
SO yeah just assign me a role so I don't get too carried away.
