Brilliant. Thanks mate. I'll be nicking Karaz-a-Karak for the floodplains city i think.

TT- i'm still unsure and you may well be correct. I guess it depends what the scouting warrior finds. There is one warrior heading NW and one heading SW. Current thought is for the next cities to be:

floodplains -> gold/fish -> coast pigs

However, that is subject to change. I'm kinda torn really.

I know what you mean.

I'd probably go gold/fish first though as hooking the gold up with the gems will give you more happiness freedom to whip or grow & a production city could be helpful to just keep churning workers out from?

Oh, i tested the 5 -> 3 whip and it doesnt seem worth it. Takes two turns to grow 4 -> 5 and delaying the worker so much seems unwise. Also, until we get pottery, we have only warriors or barracks to sink hammers into to allow growth.

Barracks in a city with no hills? No thanks.
Warriors when we already have plenty on a no barbs islands game? No thanks.

I'm inclined to go with the original plan and grow back to size four then before whipping and overflowing into two more workers. Should mean t35 has 4 cities, 5 workers. Sounds good to me.

Yep. Wish we had a chance at oracle for metal casting but, alas, on this game i'll have to go without. One benefit of your suggestion would be that the two new cities would immediately generate trade routes with one another.

I agree on an early production city being necessary- that's why i like the western pigs spot. It grabs all the hill that moving the capital lost.

Well it grabs 2 of the 3 we lost (being pedantic!) by moving the capital.

That cty would also be fine to do next, especially if you continue to whip 4->2 it the capital so it can work the rice when the capital is at size 2.

Ww do need a dedicated worker-pump quickly as given the type of play this game encourages, the capital will be doing a lot of settler pumping & we can't afford to skimp on the workers (not that you didn't already know that...)

Krill and Darrell misplayed the current turn and the turn before that and want us all to replay our turns so they can correct their mistake.

Spaceman seems to have no issue with this but i dont think thats anywhere near a good enough reason. Am i wrong? It's annoying because this will probably affect diplo now but i can't see how that's kosher.

Its a dodgy one really - especially given what kind of game this is. Two cocked up turns could have a major snowball effect when its an uber-expansion game like this.

However, I think its pretty damn cheeky to ask for 2 turns to be reloaded as its their own fault and it sends a really poor precedent for later in the game.

What if you made a big error & could say that I had made it (as I have access to the save) & needed a reload - they would have to agree to it if we agreed to this.

I wouldn't let this drop so easily as it could drag this game in a bad direction as the winner of this game will likely simply be the guy who makes the least mistakes

On the flip side, if you now end up beating Darrell, he can no longer blame it on Krill messing up his game on turn 23. smile

Nothing to report. No new land discovered. Just following the micro plan- hence no new posts.

Karaz-a-Karak as a flat, floodplain location lol

Anyhow here :
