Good news ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) . Pop is a wonderful ruin-result

Can't win every time, got a useless map from the ruins. Starting bronze working now, to see where the iron is.

We meet Azza's warrior (who might be in a bit of trouble ![mischief mischief](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/mischief.gif) ). And find Uluru natural wonder, better version of my NW as it also gives 2 food. Unfortunately out of reach for us. The map is starting to look quite interesting, sort of like snaky pangaea.
Jkaen most definitely bought a worker, since he already has improved silver. He's also heading the liberty path, so it will be a quick start for him. That said, there's plenty of space, so I'm not worried of being contested to my city spots. Tradition should be better in the long run, but we'll see.

In an usual game tradition is better. But here with less players and CS = lot more room than usual Liberty might show its strength.

Interesting, Azza settled his second city already. He also bought Uluru inside his broders, so he's guaranteed to pick for the first pantheon.
Back at home, Jkaen managed to get his payback and stole ruins right out of my nose. I'm guessing he got his scout upgraded to an archer.
My worker finished, and while I would have liked to improve wheat first, the barb warrior might cause some trouble. Instead, he will be mining the copper. The plan is to get some archers out before starting my settler.

Found 75 gold from ruins, so I decided to spent 220 gold on another worker. Purchasing a settler was still quite far away, since I won't be making any money from the early trade routes.
Unfortunately I'm one culture point away from my next social policy, so landed elite needs to wait until next turn

Azza got a worker for his new city from a city state. I know I should do the same, but it feels so dirty
Landed elite comes in and jumps the growth for my capital quite nicely. There's plenty of iron around, but all of the sources only contain 2 iron. I think I've decided to grab the salt spot with my first settler.

Growth of my capital was delayed by a turn, since barb warrior decided to camp one turn on my cows tile. So I'm now investing one turn for a library, before switching to a settler. Barb spear is about to die before causing any harm. Jkaen also has some barb troubles, since sugar had disappeared from his resources list ![cool cool](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/cool2.gif) . You can see Jkaen's borders up north. He also had a settler wandering towards south, which he retreated after seeing my spearman. I'd guess he's about to settle near the wine, located next to his borders.
I also got to pick my pantheon as third. Jowy claimed that our game doesn't have the new features of the patch, but there was definitely new beliefs listed, so I'm assuming all the new changes are in. Ultimately I decided to go for culture from pastures.

Here's Jkaen's capital and his latest city. He most definitely has barb troubles ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) Worker is sitting in his capital, while barb archer has occupied his eastern silver tile.
Just finished trapping myself, and I'm now starting to work towards calendar and plantations. There might be no rush to grab the salt, so I'm going to get the wine & pastures spot first (closer at home + culture from pastures). Settler completes in 5 turns.
