After declaring on Kuro on T4 to get visibility of his capital, we now time-traveling to T5:







Planning to sweep around to uncover the lands fogged by the crab and then either go north of the capital or go back down towards the corn to recon the soon-to-be-disputed area between Kuro and I.

Good land to the north, worker completes next turn and onto the wheat. Already having regrets regarding expansive over financial, but hopefully I can rebound over time.

No pictures because I've been on the laptop, but growing to 2 before the settler. 2nd pop will work mine with BW coming after next turn. Hunting->AH->Pottery.

I'm traveling this weekend and I may or may not lose wifi due to snowstorm hitting my vacation spot, so if I do, I beg a lurker to mine the hill the worker is on and change production to settler upon reaching size 2. I'll probably be able to get cell reception so I'll post in the lurker thread if I need help.

Thanks, Azza, I do need your opinion now. Screenshot didn't take, but copper spawned 1N of the capital on the exact hill the worker was mining. jive

There's potential for an axe rush. mischief Kuro and I haven't met anyone else, at least by espionage spending. Copper may not need a road to be hooked up. I could have 2-3 axes at his capital in 20 turns. It's T22 currently. Might be better than spending on a settler.

Need to work out the math, but if I don't find anyone soon, it might be worth it. I could secure myself a lot of land in which to peacefully expand. I suspect that Kuro will have a strat resource to defend himself, moreover, his capital is on a hill and he'd have 20% culture defense, which would make an axe rush quite risky. It's a nice train of thought to have to work through.
