I'll flatten the stone and move the hill to make settling a bit more of an effort; this is a perfect rotational mirror so I'm generally not too worried. Final map with picks/order will be posted before we begin.
I'll also put in ruleset as "standard" up front, if anyone has other preferences post 'em away (before we start picking ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) )

If we are playing with no spies, why don't we just check the no espionage box?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It screws with the culture values because espionage is converted into culture, plus passive espionage can still be pretty important.

I agree with the bans. Are we starting with the standard three CG3 archers?

It also makes it simple; passive espionage is still usable, as are Great Spies if you feel like burning a GP for a map hack.

Commodore: regarding great spies, I think they shouldn't be able to leave your borders. It seems like an indestructible, invisible scout would be too powerful under these settings, though I'll differ to your experience if you disagree.

I'd rate them a little less powerful than a good targetted bulb, or an Academy, or a golden age, or a rushed wonder, particularly if you have to run spy specialists to get one...

except in single player, where an infiltration is worth a lot more than a sci bulb. or in an ISDG...
