Well, Commodore has already sent me a leader/civ without a start and I already accepted. I highly doubt any kind of start would change my choice.
Also, we should agree on settings. RB-mod, Commodore's map, Immortal difficulty level, no vassals, no tech trading, no diplo, quick speed are given, I think. But huts? Events? Barbs? I vote off/off/on.

OK, I think I would vote for seeing starts and would reserve a right to reroll my choice if the start is perticularly awkward for my civ.

What are barb spawn rates at immortal? In SP the AI usually closes out all the land with their bonuses for me

I don't have a strong opinion on barbs, but if we're playing on Immortal they may be stronger than we're used to, no?
