[SPOILERS] Rowain and the USA

(July 20th, 2017, 01:01)Rowain Wrote: After some thinking about it I declared war on suboptimal. The warrior guarding his settler is severely damaged . OTOH I guess one of my warrior will die thanks to the Barbs running around Arabia's capital.

I will settle my city nr 2 next turn and buy a warrior there. Indias scout is running around next to my capital.

Sorry suboptimal but we are quite close and there aren't that many good sites between us. Had you moved the settler to the west we would still be at peace.

T32 A Units survived and suboptimal retreated to a safe tile.

More interesting: Ichabods scout found me and that makes me the first player to have a full set of contacts. More later.

The info on turn 33 just before I settled my 2nd city

suboptimals gold/gpt are estimates from before the war as I have currently no way to really learn it.

Looking at the numbers it is clrear that with suboptimal and me the 2 civs without the right CS are fighting which doesn't bode too well for both our futures. But OTOH I couldn't allow him to settle the territory between us at least not without staking my claim first. I have currently no interest to conquer his capital so if he settles to the west we will get peace. Not to mention he has some Barbtroubles from the south.

While we are waiting for the next turn a picture at the end of Turn33:

Turn34
Settler vanished from sight. suboptimal either built or bought a Warrior and put an envoy into Zanzibar. Kaiser put one into Jerusalem.
Bacchus has now 6 pop and 8.2 spt (!).

Turn 35:
Routinely checking the scores shows:

So looks like Japan completed a district Checking the GP shows:

Japan has completed a Holy Site at the capital.

Another surprise is Ichabods empire score of 14 since I know from the trade-screen that his second city has reached size 2. So I wonder what he does with his capital or if he has already another Settler out.

Turn 40:

Arabia (suboptimal) settled to the south (not east) => wargoal accomplished
His capital also shows a defense of 19

India (Bacchus) has solid borders and leads in science and culture (8.8 spt + 8.0 cpt)
Ha also spent some money (~ 90 gold) either last turn or turn before (When I tried to use Make Deal with him during turn 39 the game crashed. this time it worked)

Japan (Kaiser) is still the only one with a district out.

England (Ichabod) has 3 cities with 5 pop and high military score.

Info for Lurker:

If I start a Settler now it costs the correct 140 production. But the settler before finished with 100 prod in it 1 turn after the patch. Guess civ6 stores the cost at production start (similar like with Districts)

I'm sure the Lurkers are eagerly awaiting the next few turns: Ichabod has now a mil power of ~180 while i as the next strongest sit on ~80.

I have now settled city 3 and switched to Agoge and Ilkum-policy. When I finish Early Empire in ~7 turns I plan to switch to Colonization for 1-2 more settlers.

The change to the Archers means upgrading a slinger now costs 45 gold instead of 30 yikes which did hurt me this turn.

Anyway signed peace with suboptimal. Part of the reason was that Ichabod (with >200 mil power) declared war on Kaiser (<80 mp).
