This is a great map for them to play, I agree that you should randomize the starts however after randomizing them have a look at the Brazil start, as their main ability is benefitting of jungle and they actually have a jungle Bias so you could edit some jungle tiles near his position.
Great Work
EDIT: too late xD

Here are some pre-game thoughts on how this will play out, which we shall at in a few months after we see how it actually plays out. First though, an update mini-map overview with the player's starting islands outlined:
Early game Norway will declare on the world with a million longboats, earning decent spoils and massive amounts of hatred.
Spain will attempt to get a religion, which will be stolen in turn by (1) oledavy early from quick HS ability leaving a 60-cost prophet for the 2nd, (2) Norway who gets the boost due to natural wonder and who's spoils bolster his early economy, (3) TheArchduke who builds Stonehenge. Spain ends up plodding along, not too much combat either offensively or defensively the whole game other than periodic raiding parties from Norway.
Oledavy is the first one to settle on an island, specifically towards Japper, trusting in his coastal combat bonus to counter the Longboats but underestimating the power of Norway's ability to ignore embarking costs and loses his island(s) to Japper.
England sees Japper starting to come out on top with pillage-profit + the island(s) newly absorbed from oledavy, and England makes the first move invade another player's starting island by attacking Japper which ends in stalemate, and oledavy recapturing the island from Japper + settling the one north of Spain.
Brazil is 2nd to expand onto the islands, starting with the one nearest him in the south and then ending up splitting the long one in the middle 50/50 with Oledavy, and splitting the one off the west coast of Spain 50/50 with CFCJF which leads to an unstable situation. Oledavy eventually comes out on top due to his coastal combat bonuses and ends up eating Woden before his battleships come online.
Meanwhile Germany turtles up in the early game in a long-term plan to get the hansa's up and running. He doesn't make any island plants, ceding the island to his west to settlement by Norway. Then in the Industrial era Germany and England 2v1 Norway. They take out norway, but squabbling over Norway's dead body results with Germany continuing immediately on to backstab and gobble up England.
Resulting in a late game showdown between Oledavy and Singaboy, with Spain as a largely irrelevant 3rd party too strong for either player to take down, but without much influence in the grand scheme of things.
Ultimately the game is decided via domination, with Singaboy making a surgical strike to take out the other capitals simultaneously.
Now let's see how much of this I get wrong

This new map doesn't change much. Only kicking Japper007 to the bottom of my list because he's surrounded. Woden and Archduke are also now about even, with Archduke keeping his higher spot because he's the incumbent.

I am missing this: Japper and his Norway turned out be a fake and in reality other opponents are playing against Alhambram's Russia again and Alhambram wins again with religious victory!
In seriousness, this map really looks impressive. I am looking forward how this PBEM plays out!

Sorry for the late response but the answer is yes. PB7 had one and the consensus was that game was a trainwreck. I was actually thinking more of PBEM38. Although that game had a banter thread, it was defacto a diplomacy thread.

Having a Culture Natural Wonder near your start is quite a nice boost for Japper.
Did Brazil just have luck with the jungle or does start bias actually change some of the surrounding terrain?

Due to Brazil's normal jungles starting bias, after randomly drawing the start location for Brazil I changed a couple of the tiles that spawned as grass forest to plains jungle preserving the tile yield but suiting the bias

Had another moment when I saw Japper's first screenshots. Having set up the map using strategic view of worldbuilder and playing almost exclusively in strategic view, I saw Japper's mention of Piopiotahi on his first turn, but in checking the screenshots I didn't see the graphic for the natural wonder that I had been seeing in worldbuilder. All I saw was what looked like a couple forests. I thought about this multiple times at work today and the first thing I did when I got home was load up the starting save to see what happened. Turns out the natural wonders look nothing alike between the strategic and standard views, and I breathed a huge sigh of relief!

oledavy Wrote:- Incense. Getting the cultural expands I want is going to be a crap shoot, but that tile means I can theoretically skip God-King for Urban Planning, although I think it more likely I will just take God-King.
The incence tile is showing yields of 1F 1C 1Faith. Comparing incense + urban planing yields 1F 2C 1Faith versus even the lowest yield plains hill 1F 2C + God King yields 1F 2C 1G 1Faith, not to mention he has 4 yield tiles avialable.

PB7: LP+no double move rules=LOL I refused the comment on that game because it was so obvious what would happen. That game doesn't count for anything.
PBEM38: I remember there was some Civ5 game that had a banter thread. It also failed (but only at the end when it was too late to do anything). I'm guessing the second half of the PBEM38 thread, just when people gave up keeping it a banter thread, is probably the only thing we got.
