If you want to know how good this start is, here is my worst yet, from a PYDT game that started yesterday

Yeah the Mekewap is just godly, but this is the level I'd actually like all the other Unique Improvements to be at, if we ever do get a RB mod for this. Most of the others are cool in concept but either have ridiculous placement rules (like the chateau) or come so late on the tech tree that the game is already decided long before they can make an impact (Outbacks, Chateau again actually...)

The only problem I found with Mekewaps is that they kept me from harvesting resources. I had a capital with a lot of Stone in my Cree game, four resources actually. I know it's probably more efficient to harvest them, but that would have destroyed my Mekewap yields. Not really sure what comes out ahead though.

Well in Single Player "harvest all the things!" is a good idea, but I think in Multiplayer it is less so. You want to have a good baseline production to build units in emergencies, or units regardless, that can't be done when you have made all your flatland tiles worthless. It's less pronounced in these RB games because everyone insists on these ludicrously lush maps for some reason. In a less cooked map you want every quarry and lumbermill you can get your hands on come lategame, or you won't even be able to build the basic units.

Emperor K sends me this baffling deal. I have no idea what he means Is he attacking someone this early and asking me to joined war? Does he just want a turn of peace to move his scout away from my borders? Either case I sent both CMF and Empk friendship requests this turn, which will give him the oppertunity to declare his intentions more clearly. Friend or Foe Emperor K, what'll it be?
I also zoned in the Campus this turn, done in 5. After this it'll boost State Workforce, allowing me to place the government plaza right away!

Sorry for letting the updates slip recently I just didn't have a whole lot to do besides exploring. Now I do have something to post though:
My plans have hit a bit of a snag, you see usually going straight Campus--->Goverment plaza times out. But this time I was extremely unlucky with City States and didn't meet a single cultural one so my culture is slacking. Leaving me 6 turns short of completing SW in time:
I've decided to build a Settler in the meantime, I'm quite a few turns behind with my second city compared to everyone else (though that is ofc part of The Plan TM) and it lines up pretty well. It won't get the silly 100% production bonus and free Builder but it still seems my best option to build right now.

Another demonstration of Cree power:
I settled this city last turn and purchased a Builder there (with all my Mekewap gold, so another Cree bonus heh) but just look at that Trade Route that is what a normal civ can expect only in the very late game!
Here's the city after sending that route and getting a Farm on the Floodplains Wheat:
a 1 turn growth and triple the production it was before! Holy. Crap.
On another note how haven't I found another players capital/ expansion and only one CS in the entire area to the East? Just look at my minimap. Now I know Emperor K and Arch must be somewhere in the area, but I don't even have vision on their loyalty pressure yet like I do with CMF. Do I really have this much space all to myself?
