MAMMOTHS were hunted to extinction.
Animals can be hunted with a NET.
Big animals could be hunted after being trapped into a PIT.

Animals can be hunted with a SHOT. This is perhaps a slightly weaker connection than the first three.

Two options:
- Click the 'Insert...' button (looks like three windows stacked on each other), then use the drop down to select spoiler tags.
- Use 'view source' mode and type them directly.  Replace the curly brackets with square brackets in the following text {spoiler}stuff you want hidden{/spoiler}. I tend to use this method because it lets me keep my hands on the keyboard instead of moving one to find the mouse.

So is hunted to indicate things that are hunted versus tools used to hunt? Why hunted over hunting?
Given that:
Mammoths - hunted
Turkeys - hunted (turkey hunt)
Dragon - hunted (by Knights)

I also recognize net, pit and shot as common hunting tools but I think because he's clueing hunted and not hunting or hunt that it's the prey we should be looking for.

Turkey and Mammoth seem fairly obvious, in that order.  


For the third word, I like Shot, due to it's clear relation to something being hunted.  Net and Pit also work for ways of hunting something, but would work better with a clue like "Hunt".  


I suppose Dragon fits as well.

Why hunted over hunting?

Probably to avoid us picking Egypt due to the civ tech connection.

As Superdeath hasn`t posted in this thread for a few days he probably won`t join. Hopefully that`s not too imbalancing for the game.

Ah, Turkey. I missed that one. Two players have Mammoth as the first guess so let`s go for that first. The third is tricky indeed. I lean Shot over Dragon but I don`t feel particularly strongly about it.
